chat with "external" not in a Team group
to replace Skype for Business there will need to be a way to chat to people outside of one's organisation apart from setting up a new Team Group. When trying to just communicate to an external person (who has their own Teams set up) I get the attached.

Why was this feature removed in May 2019? This is a key feature in Skype for Business that allows user to quickly start a chat with external users, when there is no need to have them as part of a Team or Channel.

The real key here for this feature request is that we need the ability to add and chat with external contacts who are NOT members of a team. This is needed to directly replace SfB functionality. Even when a tenant supports federation, you aren't able to add these type of contacts.
Extremely important! Otherwise it will never be possible to exchange Skype with Teams.
The "federated" chat is available now, but generic information of the external contact is not available, only the SIP uri (or username/SMTP address - don't really know which one it is) is displayed. Displayname and available contact information (Company, Department, Emailaddress) should be available as well.
