Distribution Lists in Teams
In Skype for Business client I can add a Distribution List as a Contact Group.
Can we have this feature in Teams?

MS Teams is worse then Skype. Let me list the ways:
1) It is shocking that the important function of being able to send a Chat message to a distribution list, which worked so well with Skype, is not even an option in MS teams.
2) It is so inefficient for every person to have to create their own distribution list "group" from scratch (instead of being able to select it)
3) Also, you cannot create your Chat "group" in advance, even though it makes you think you can when creating a "group" in your contacts. You actually have to send a chat message for the chat group name to be saved.
4) My contacts appear to have transferred from Skype to Teams but the distribution lists don't have any names linked to them.
5) Lastly, what is even more frustrating is that I can see some random Distribution Lists when searching for names in Chat option but apparently these are bogus lists and not linked to any actual names. Nonetheless the fact that you can see some Distribution Lists when searching for names to chat makes you think it is possible to use a pre-existing list or create a new one and of course that is not true, which makes everyone waste time looking for the distribution lists that were there previously or having to waste more time asking other people about it. Fixing this problem/issue should be TOP PRIORITY for anyone working on improving MS Teams. -

Interfacing distribution lists with chat functionality in the same way that Skype works is essential. It is redundant and inefficient to first have to set up a "team" to be able to use the distribution list functionality for chat. Within our organization, this would result in our centralized services needing to set up literally over 100 teams just to be able to send chats to a DL. We need to be able to communicate quickly and easily for patient safety so this level of seamless integration is essential.

This is a "labor intensive" program; that does not encompass the full range that Skype offered. Navigation the program is a hit and miss venture. I know change is necessary, but this appears to be multiple steps backward. I guess you can tell I do not like this program.

This would be very beneficial for patient care at our facility as well. It is a big disruption with the conversion from skype to teams.

Strongly support this proposal. This features helps providers stay up-to-date with colleague contact information (esp. as new employees come in and old employees leave). Additionally, having a clear email group that I can coordinate to tackle larger issues is of critical importance

Please add this feature to Microsoft teams. It is a function we had with Skype and it was able to improve several work processes and improve patient care. We have had to take several steps backwards now and patient care is being delayed.
