Create a meeting by copying an existing one
I have some recurrent meetings, which I need to insert and update on a weekyl basis.
It could be helpful having a copy-paste function on existing meetings.
Also, the metting calendar does not allow to see past meetings.
When working on a project, it isn't always possible to have a regular meeting time. The only way to keep all of the project information in the same chat is to set up a recurring meeting, but since the timing and frequency of these meetings can't be determined in advance, it isn't really a good solution. It would be fantastic if we could open a meeting and just click a button that says "Follow Up Meeting" or something, and it would take you back to the same meeting space.
User case: we have a recurring weekly meeting. We didn't finish an important discussion and decided to add a follow-up meeting (single/one-off) the next day at the same time. It would be so much easier to be able to copy/paste the usual meeting onto the new day, taking with it the times and full attendee list, than to have to recreate it from scratch on the new day. (Note: go to Outlook isn't a solution; the entire point is to be able to do this within teams,... especially for those of us -Mac users - who don't use Outlook.)

the reason I'd like to be able to copy paste a meeting, on top of participant list and meeting name, is to have also all stuff like minutes of meeting from previous instance, like a recurrent meeting. Most of the time the next meeting needs is understood during the meeting itself so is pretty hard to know in advance that the meet will have recurrence.
why recurrent meeting does not answer the requirement:
i am creating meeting linked to a channel, and i would like to see separate post for each meeting occurrence.

Please add the ability to clone meetings. OR, provide the ability to copy and paste contacts within the various fields (Required and Optional).
I've copied from a morning meeting into an afternoon meeting but then I can't see the join button within MS Teams Calendar. The cloning option would be great. If not cloning, the ability to make a meeting repeating not just daily but two times a day. Reading through the comments here and we are also trying to keep our teams chat organized.
The copy&paste in Outlook doesn't fully work, it's not sending an invite or updates and not posible to edit the even in Teams anymore. This feature is required in Teams itself!
Using Outlook Calendar, I do Ctrl-C (to copy the previously held Teams meeting), then Ctrl-V (paste in the future date/time required). In the newly scheduled Teams meeting, I'm able to change the title, add/remove participants. Hope this helps.
Meeting Clone Option is very important and propably easy to deploy, but MS guys cant do a normal, easy to use meeting software
I've been copying meetings for quite sometime except there's a glitch. When you finally hold the meeting, the heading at the top of the meeting screen shows the subject of the original meeting that was copied and not the udpated subject line. Also, I believe it retains the participants from the previous meeting - even if you've deleted them from your new meeting, and displays them in the "participants" area. I've not figured out how to change the meeting link. Still looking.

Need the ability to duplicate a meeting - and update the title and date/time as applicable - but keep the same meeting link. This way, there won't be multiple meetings in the Chat history with each having various chatter and files all regarding the same content. Duplicating the original meeting will ensure all chatter and files stay on the same meeting thread - session over duplicated session. This is not the same as recurring, since the follow-up sessions could be any day/time, not necessarily in any particular cadence.

This would be very helpful, I teach an online class that meets 4x/week, so the "repeat every weekday" option doesn't work since I then have to manually "cancel" every Wednesday. Would be so much easier to copy/paste the meeting in Teams calendar!
You can do it by going through Outlook. You select your past meeting, press CTRL and drag it to the new place.

I try do this almost twice a week. Much needed!
What are all of the highly paid MS Teams product owners working on anyway?
This feature is very much needed, it's slowing down our ability to organize our teams.

Since i would really love this option right now, i will sign this "petition"
I miss that functionality as well! When cloning of previously scheduled meetings could be available? It will really save tons of time. Thank you
Cloning previously scheduled meetings would be an excellent upgrade.
please add copy paste function for meetings... insane that this functionality is not there... Outlook, Google, Apple all have it - for a reason - it's needed!!!!
