Remember expand/collapse contact groups
The new contact list is now live and it has the option to expand and collapse contact groups. However when I restart teams the are all expanded again.
It would be better if Teams remembered when I collapse a group. then I can for example hide groups of contacts I don't use as often.
Default needs to be collapsed ASAP.
PLEASE Microsoft, do something about this. This is my biggest issue with Teams at this point.
I know you're not likely to care, even if you're monitoring this thread, but please pay attention to the will of your paying customers, before they move to Slack.
Also it would be great if there was a collapse all / expand all toggle.
Hi, Please FIX THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!
I'll send THX when fixed :)

Yes.. my new pet peeve. In fact I'd do what I can to avoid the contact list because of this annoyance.
Throwing another impotent plea onto the pile...

same here. I have stored hundreds of chat contacts in MS Teams and they are in my case grouped into seventeen contacts groups (see attached screenshot), but the groups get all expanded again every time I switch for example to recent and back to contacts, which is really annoying.
Not only on restart. The groups are expanded even if I switch to recent and back to contacts. Would be nice, if this (little) feature would be integrated in next update.

WHEN ARE YOU (the all mighty microsoft) GOING TO FIX THIS????????
Even Skype had this feature. Why am I getting LESS service by upgrading from Skype to Teams? Please fix this ASAP.

This is a pretty basic thing and should be fixed ASAP
Please fix this!!!! So annoying with over 200 contacts and have to scroll and scroll and scroll
Really hating the default behavior of every group being expanded!!
If ANYTHING, the default behavior is that they're always kept closed.

Please fix (add base functionality) now!
This is annoying!! Please collaps all!!!!
I've never seen such a piece of **** as TEAMS (well, not since Microsoft inflicted Excel users with your Ribbon piece of garbage). I hear that you forced it on companies by bundling with Office. This inability to keep contact groups closed till we open them is 2nd only to the inability to have temporary chats - we were forced onto Teams at my company last month, and already I'm overloaded with old chats that should have been deleted, except that some genius at MS feels that they should stay forever.
Really, who the **** at Microsoft is running things?
For the love… stop expanding the groups, why the **** have them if they don't stay grouped and out of the way?
We need it
Please address this BEFORE killing / removing Skype for Business
