Change location of pop-up notification when chatting in a document
The pop up notifications block the space where you are supposed to type when you are chatting on a document causing a major disturbance.

This also applies to calls / meetings. Had an issue today where a webinar was being delivered via Teams and the host would encourage interaction via the chat, but one user would have difficulty contributing as the popups covered the chat pane.

So many simple annoyances with Teams that need to be addressed, this is one such annoyance. The fact that this was posted almost 3 years ago is a disgrace.

This is particularly bad usability. My son is home schooling (as most kids are) and is unable to take part in the chat due to this. Very frustrating and bad design. Please make it movable

Please allow it to be moved to any other spot or at least a different monitor.

I am a high school student and I normally wouldn't complain, but my school has been using teams for online learning during the pandemic and the chat pop up notification while I am on a meeting is really annoying. It covers up the place where I am trying to type and then I end up clicking on the notification and going onto another screen, causing teams to time me out on the other tab and kick me out of the meeting. I would really appreciate it if you would allow users to be able to disable the notification or at least move it out of the way. You are a company worth $1 trillion, it shouldn't be to much to listen to your customers and solve this simple problem.

I would actually just like to see that the pop-up location is adjustable. The upper right of my screen is a valuable place where I can, for instance, launch new browser tabs, etc. It is annoying that I have to keep closing the chat notification popups.

How has this ever been addressed despite being constantly re-asked? There is absolutely no reason for the pop-ups to *only* show in the bottom right of the screen - the ability to change the default or drag-and-drop should be available as needed. So ridiculous to ignore requests for it...

This seems so obvious to me. It's a particular problem when dealing with urgent work, as many people are messaging at the same time, blocking your ability to pass important information.

Totally agree with all below. MS, please fix it so the notification doesn't block the chat or message you are working on! Please do it soon!

More importantly a pop-up notification should not appear for a chat window that you have active/visible. There is absolutely no point in displaying a notification over the actual chat window in question.

Agreed - very frustrating and building up a stack that makes your display right side look like a "winter tree" growing.
All pop-ups are disturbing anything you do and cannot be avoided - seems like its main purpose is to make you loose focus - 100% meeting the specification.
Please agree to move or do not stack one above each other. Killing it completely is not an option all the time. -

I agree! The popup notifications box needs to be moveable. I read for a living and if I get a notification in the middle of a read it can totally ***** things up as I can't see the entire script. It looks like this thread was started over two years ago and as yet there's been no response to this call for action.

When the chat and video are both open - the banners should just be turned off. I only want to see the banner when chat is closed, or the application does not have focus.

It would be helpful if Teams application allowed flexibility in where both the video and chat notification appeared on ones computer screen. Is it possible to add a selection option to the settings tab allowing for customization of where these two items pop up

let me turn it off, or move it permanently.

Please move the location of the notifications. I cannot type or respond in a timely fashion because the notifications keep getting in the way.

This is just bad design and should have been caught during testing. Please allow us to drag the balloon notification to another location

Wish my pop-up notification could be on one of my other monitors and could float anywhere on the screen i choose for it to pop-up. Kind of like Outlooks meeting pop-us=p reminders.

Love Teams, would love it more if I can move the notification to any of the other 3 corners of the screen.

this is has been an issue for months and the lack of response is disturbing. the fact that the notification pop up blocks the chat bar in the first place was not the smartest of moves for a tool that is meant to improve productivity.. Allow us to place the notification where we prefer
