Investigate Windows store error message 0x80072ee2
Windows 8.1 32bit Windows Store error message 0x80072ee2
I cannot open Windows Store. Gives error message. Cannot connect. Try later etc.
Ok. I have spent hours trying and failed to do the following:
Performed sfc/scannow. Gets to 3% and says 'windows resource protection couldn't not perform the requested operation'
Dism (restore health) could not perform task as says another operation is in use.
Completely wiped my system and started a clean boot.
Removed all 150 updates from windows to see where the error came in.
Run powershell but can't delete winstore apps.
Run command to find error.
Changed internet connection. Removed and re-Installed.
Added 8888 and 8844 to Lan connections.
Stop apps from running to see if two are conflicting.
Deleted temp files in windows.
ALL DONT WORK.
I have No GAMES installed. Simply the operating system, I have genuinely searched the web for solutions to this windows problem but I am completely at a loss. I have spent a frustrating amount of time and have exhausted all possibilities.
The internet is connected and have deleted and created new account.
Please can someone shed some light on this? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

This error occurred on Wednesday 24th May. Clearly this is an error with different degrees of severity / damage.
At times Windows Resource Protection is unable to perform the Requested Operation. Most of the time this problem pops up at the end of an SFC scan or when an SFC scan gets stuck in the same stage for some time and fails. This issue affects all of the versions of the Windows OS that are assisted by Microsoft, from Windows 7 to 10. This problem happens mostly with the SFC utility for some reason and not being able to access files that requires operating or needs to scan in case of damage. You can go for further details and methods by following this website https://appuals.com/fix-windows-resource-protection-cannot-perform-the-requested-operation/ We have some solutions here for your problem.
Method 1 Run the CHKDSK utility:
i). Go for the Start Menu and search cmd
ii). Now right-click on the search result named cmd and press on Run as administrator ii). Write CHKDSK C:/R into the elevated Command Prompt and tap Enter
iv). After the instruction executed, you will be informed that the CHKDSK utility will run at the next boot. Then write y into the elevated Command Prompt and click Enter
v). Close the Command Prompt and restart your system.
Method 2 Modify the security descriptors on the winsxs folder:
i). Open the Start Menu and find cmd
ii). Now right-click on the search result with the title cmd and press on Run as administrator.
iii). Write ICACLS C:/ Windows/ winsxs into the elevated Command Prompt and Enter.
iv). End the command prompt when the instruction executed and reboot your PC
Method 3 Perform a repair install of Windows). A repair installation easily solves many issues and since that is the case, it can do all tasks without losing any data stored on the system.
Its a good approach.
