Block specific phone numbers.
Block specific phone numbers.
The feature team is investigating how we can build this in the Teams admin center.
I kid you not, I have had the same marketing phone number call me over 20 times today alone looking for various people in our company! I have politely asked for them to stop calling and they won't! I have blocked the number but as I understand it, it only blocks them from calling my direct line, I need to be able to block them in our call que. please get this feature up and running!
I've blocked numbers but they ring anyway. It's terrible. Vendors can ring me all day long, over and over again. I've blocked the specific numbers but they come through anyways.
This feature needs to be updated to allow better blocking options. I have a user who keeps receiving fax calls.
This is already a feature of Teams... just not at the administrator level

How to unblock number. I somehow block my own number by mistake since the calling requirement voice arent clear or precise. I need to unblock it by 23rd April. Help.
Edit: I am using my phone to manage this but still no avail

New/Set-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern just does now work for Teams, It takes about 30 mins to block voicemail and then around an hour to block across the entire system for calls. Please can you consider this for higher priority in the Teams admin center. Thanks.

So many robocallers and now they're automatically redialing until you finally pick up, no matter how many times you decline. I tried to sign up with Nomorobo which works great on my iPhone (ATT) but it isn't compatible with our Teams phone line.
Under review...ROFL...come on Microsoft...that and the ability to route PSTN outbound from a Call Queue and Auto Attendant are in every phone system on planet Earth but your's in the cloud!!!!

It is essential that the facility to block numbers should be provided at organisation level or perhaps even better that these are handled at Cloud PBX level before call routing or Auto-Attendants.
We have just carried out the procedure below using the SfB functionality however this would need to be part of Teams before a full switch over could be implemented.
Could someone from Microsoft plaes confirm this is on the near future road map?

So, the skype for business commandlet actually works to block the number from teams
Set-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern -Description "SETYOURDESCRIPTION" -Identity <SETIDENTETY> -Pattern "^\+1112223333"
Had originally found the commandlet under teams, but the documentation is blank but the documentation under Skype for Business is still relevant and works under a Teams only organization: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/skype/set-csinboundblockednumberpattern?view=skype-ps

I've been asking for this in Skype for Business and was hoping Teams would have it. We want to be able to block a number company wide, not just have each end user do it.
561-413-1106 is spam

Since day one on Skype for Busiens we have been bombarded with spam calls.
We need a solution as Microsoft does not offere a way to block spam calls at the tenant level.

Microsoft had published this info on docs in May of 2018 but then pulled it. However the cmdlets still work in my tenant. It works with both calling plans or direct routing.
Call Blocking PowerShell Commands
InboundBlockedNumberPattern Number patterns are managed via the CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern commands New, Get, Set, and Remove.
You can manage a given pattern by using these cmdlets, including the ability to toggle the activation of a given pattern.
• Get-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern Returns a list of all blocked number patterns added to the tenant list including Name, Description, Enabled (True/False), and Pattern for each.
• New-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern Adds a blocked number pattern to the tenant list.
• Remove-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern Removes a blocked number pattern from the tenant list.
• Set-CsInboundBlockedNumberPattern Modifies one or more parameters of a blocked number pattern in the tenant list.
• TenantBlockedCallingNumbers The viewing and activation of the entire call blocking feature is managed via the CsTenantBlockingCallingNumbers commands Get and Set.
• Get-CsTenantBlockedCallingNumbers Returns the parameters for the global blocked number list including Enabled (True/False). There is a single global tenant policy that cannot be modified manually other than to turn the feature completely on/off.
• Set-CsTenantBlockedCallingNumbers Allows modifying the global tenant blocked calls to be turned on/off at the tenant level.
adding your number to the Gov Do Not Call List helps some, but not entirely.
