Add word to dictionary
We need a simple option to add a word to the dictionary.

I would appreciate this option so we can have all staff names recognized in the dictionary
eg: Carsten; Noella
How is this not possible? I mean come on... Obtuse!

Please add this feature that is available across all other MS365 apps
This is ridiculous to not have such an obvious feature that all other o365 apps have. Even worse is that no-one from Microsoft appears to have chimed in or marked it as being worked on. You'd hope they would want to let us know they are reading this UserVoice.

Unbelievable that the product has been shipped without the capability to add words to the dictionary on the fly and edit the dictionary separately to remove words no longer required...!

This would be a great feature, especially for all of the acronyms that Teams doesn't recognize.
Please do this

Mine doesn't even recognize contractions. "I've" shows as misspelled. It wants me to change it to "I've" and it still shows misspelled. This REALLY needs to be fixed.

EPIC FAIL - basic function!!
I messaged a colleague called Ashleigh and Teams (and in fact this uservoice group) doesn't recognise the name, and wants me to change it to Ashlee.... I have never in my life seen someone's name spelled AshLEE. How come there's no way to add to the dictionary; or better still, why is there not a common Windows dictionary that everything else references!!

How does add to dictionary get missed?

I agree with all the other posters, this is crazy and unprofessional, not have this simple function available
Ironic isn't it I can add words to their dictionary in this online form!!!
I don't know why the functionality of right-clicking on a word in Teams is so different than every other O365 Program. This should be a simple fix to make it exactly the same as Outlook & Word; it should give the Spelling function when you right-click and list the possible corrections and give the Add to Dictionary option.
And/or, Teams uses your Word & Outlook Libraries so words you already have added to the dictionary there are saved for Teams to recognize too.

Please enable the ability for users to add words to the Teams dictionary. Many of us work in domains which have jargon, and so far we can't spell check those domains in Teams.
There needs to be a way to add words to the dictionary or alternatively turning the spell check off. I find red underlining extremely annoying.
Adding my vote too....
It is so funny that MS-Teams still doesn't have this simple option, yet!!!
I have no idea why MS keep delaying this? There is no reason to not to have it!!
Unless MS has a weird reason like Liquid Nitrogen for soldered RAM on surface!! MS, stop funny excuses and be little more realistic!!
Has this been enabled yet?
NEED this please!
