Since the update during the week of May 7, 2018, every time I join a meeting, my system volume gets adjusted to be extremely high, which is highly uncomfortable with headphones.
Previously, the volume wasn't adjusted at all. Please restore it to this state.
The global volume automatically increasing to 20 is now fixed. If you are changing the Teams app volume you may still have an issue.
Thanks for your feedback. Please let us know if you are still having issues.

Yep, still happening. Since my comfortable volume is around 6-8%, the automatic adjustment to 20% is over TWICE the level I can tolerate.

2020-09-11 and I'm now having this issue rear its ugly head again. While the volumes for Teams remains at the preset 25%, each time a call comes in and the call window opens, it has a separate entry in Volume Mixer and is set to 100% of device volume.
I have to ask people to refrain from speaking so I can turn the volume down. This is not a good look for a business!
This is still a serious issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. I have my system volume turned down to 1 which is directly linked to Teams (and many other apps). As this volume control is as low as it can go by the system and is still too loud, this is a health and safety problem. Is it going to take getting a lawyer involved to get you all to take this seriously and to do something about this? I could use a few million in my bank account...
Something is really still broken here. And yes, guys & gals at Microsoft, we understand you have a shitload of work to do. But: this issue persists since ******* 2018 in some way or the other. FIX this - please please please, FIX THIS!
When I use Settings / Sound / App & Device / Jabra Biz 2300 / Main loudness --> I can move the knob but the loudness does NOT change!
When I use the Microsoft Teams knob, the loudness of teams changes. Why is it not changing when using the main loudness knob????

App volume does not persist. The volume will always defaults to whatever the current system volume is. This is pretty obnoxious, especially considering that any other app in the world of computing seems to know how to maintain volume preferences when set in the volume mixer. One would think Microsoft would understand the importance of such basic functionality.

It sucks that it can't remember the volume from the previous session! It seems like it would be such a simple fix!
I would agree with the other comments that this is not resolved. I use Plantronics Voyager 8200 headphones via USB or Bluetooth connectivity and this issue only occurs within the Teams application. I have to adjust the sound setting with each Teams call and I'm on about 8 Teams calls per day.
I really wish I could hear people when on Teams calls using the Teams Windows 10 client. Said no one. Ever. This problem exists on Bluetooth and USB and built-in speakers across a range of manufacturers. And it's a problem isolated to Teams, best as I can work out...
Volume works just fine in Zoom. And SkypeForBusiness. :)
This still isn't fixed, I presume there needs to be a patch to remember volume settings for all child windows of an application. Somehow the "communication device" settings aren't as permanent as the default audio device settings.

El error al día de hoy aún persiste. Por favor su ayuda ya que es un gran impedimento a la hora del uso diario de la aplicación.

still have the issue. With bluetooth headset, Teams goes to 100% volume every time.
Please provide a solution on this! Because of this I have to have the volume setting window open at all times so I can adjust volume for each meeting.

This automatic 100% volume adjust for each call is not fixed yet. Not even partially! Deafening loud for each call...
I also use Cisco Jabber to make and receive for telephone calls and use other recording software. Every time I make a call or join a meeting with MS Teams, it sets the microphone volume in the windows mixer to 100 percent and that overloads Jabber and other audio applications that I use, making the microphone LOUD and distorted. I have to reset the microphone level after every MS Teams call or meeting.
This is not fixed at all. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
Still having this problem. Application volume for Teams is reset to 100% for each call - this is way too loud on BT headphones.
Please fix to persist app volume setting across multiple calls.
Same issue... very high volume on every calls, wait for a solution.

Okay the last update from Microsoft is dated 9/30/2019 almost a year ago and this problem still exists. It's getting worse NOT better. Why hasn't there been an updated posted? Is this ever going to get fixed? We have several users experiencing this issue and I would like to have a resolution for them. This is very very poor of Microsoft to just leave this sitting here.
