Create teams meeting from calendar using OWA
When using calendar on OWA, there is no way to create a Microsoft Teams meeting. You need to create it from Microsoft Teams instead.
Please add the functionality to create a meeting from Calendar using OWA
We are happy to announce this feature has been released for general availability. For details, please see the link below:

I spent a lot of time to find possibility to create teams meeting from web Outlook. And I see that this problem couldn't be solved a long period of time, but this one of the basic workflow.
Seriously @Alex (Teams Engineering, Microsoft Teams), no news at all on this?
This is a basic function you MUST have if you are going to discontinue Skype for business.
If you are going to ask me, you shouldn't event consider to release the product without this.
it is the most important use case let say you need to setup online meeting with your customer but you need to add them to team first every time (as the participants most likely are different people)
Hi - it's now September 2019 - I still can't see a way of embedding a Teams meeting link.... what's happened with this???

Our policy is not to expose Preview features to our users so the 'Try the new Outlook' button is not available in our tenant. I'm surprised that the capability to schedule Teams meetings from OWA hasn't been brought to production yet.

Ability for the meeting creator to generate a link for Outlook Calendar/Teams Meeting invites so other members within the digital team can join. Right now meeting creators have to manually add each attendee, which is a daunting task when you have a larger group (and not necessarily all those people are in a team). There should be an option to create a link so the meeting creator can just add it to a post, message, e-mail and people can just click the link to add it to their calendar.

Push, yes we need this!
Meetings from Outliok to Teans work like **** on Mac. Just allow an cal file to be created and sent to which ever email system. Improved Integration.
The Teams button in Outlook calendar (https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/30950407-auto-generate-teams-meeting-in-an-outlook-email-ca) does not solve the primary use case - we need either 1) to send invites to All invitees of a meeting scheduled in a Channel using Teams, including members of the Team or 2) the ability to assign a meeting creating in Outlook to a Team and Channel.
When creating a Team Meeting using Outlook (OWA or desktop application) I want to assign the meeting to a Team and Channel. This is possible when creating a meeting in Teams, but not supported when creating a meeting with Outlook.

PLEASE ADD THIS
Ugh, but the "New Outlook" is hideous and is filled with bugs and missing functions. Can we just stick with old outlook UX and include these functions?!

I would except turning on "the new Outlook" causes us to lose our URL-based workaround for accessing a team's group calendar (since they're all hidden from Exchange clients by default).
Didnt find “Add online meeting” in Outlook for mac ( 16.22 (190211)).
Is this feature coming soon ?
We need this on prem as well!

Just to emphasize, this is getting unbearable. We have a lot of mixed remove/on-prem meetings, and we do everything on Teams; as a result 100% of meeting invites need a first-class Teams meeting embedded in them. However, the Teams calendar view doesn't support a bunch of important things, like inviting mailing lists, or room resources.
PLEASE just add a checkbox that says "create Teams meeting" to the OWA meeting creation form.

This is available if you have "The new Outlook" enabled. Once done, you make a meeting a Teams meeting via a selection under "Add online meeting".
Microsoft Admin: Please set status to let people know this is available right now (as of Dec 2018, I think).
This terrible issue confuses all of our users. They are told to use Teams only (even the toggle in the admin panel is set to Teams) but most of our users user Outlook Online (OWA) and each time they create a meeting invite only the Skype For business button is shown... Please fix and allow the add-in for outlook to also work for OWA.

Urgent, since Skype business is migrating to teams.
This has to change for the love of god

this is definitely needed!
