BUG: SENDING MESSAGE + WHILE UPLOADING FILE REQUIRES USER TO WAIT – POTENTIALLY FORGETTING TO PRESS SEND
BUG: SENDING MESSAGE + WHILE UPLOADING FILE REQUIRES USER TO WAIT – POTENTIALLY FORGETTING TO PRESS SEND. HOW ABOUT THIS: LET USER PRESS SEND AFTER MESSAGE IS COMPLETE BUT TEAMS ACTUALLY SENDS MESSAGE ONLY AFTER SUCCESSFUL UPLOAD. IE. DECOUPLE MESSAGE SEND AND FILE UPLOADING TO AVOID MAKING USER WAIT FOR FILE TO UPLOAD = BIG TIMESAVING
Having to hit send twice is a ridiculous, dangerous way of handling file uploads. Yet another reason why Slack is superior to Teams.

Related issue that drives me nuts: when you attach a file, a progress bar is displayed. The progress bar reaches the end, indicating that the file has been uploaded. Now I click "Send" - and I am STILL prevented from sending, with a message saying "Uploading... Please wait."
Worse, there is literally no other indicator of when the file has actually finished uploading (as far as I can tell). So what I end up doing is clicking "Send" over and over every few seconds, until eventually the message sends. Unless I'm missing something here... this is ridiculous.

My primary chat to one user is STILL locked by this message after a week. I found that I could "popout" a separate chat window and continue the chat there. The chat appears on the primary window chat but is not blocked by the upload lock.
I have no idea how to get rid of the upload lock yet.
This is so damn frustrating. Every single other chat application does this, except for Microsoft's. My enter key doesn't work so well anymore from pressing it too hard to send the message while the upload is still going. Fix your shit!

This issue actually has a lot of votes on various pages - if we all vote for on all of these perhaps we can get this issue fixed:

Agreed, we are experiencing this here. If you are attaching a large file, type your comment and hit Send before the file is finished uploading, you'll be met with an "Uploading, please wait" message. Then the user has to hit Send again (a second time) to actually send the message. Recommend Teams finish uploading the file in the bg and then actually send the message once the upload completes rather than forcing the user to hit send twice.
