Move: Cannot Move File to Another Channel - "Locked for Editing"
Trying to move a file from one channel to another, an error pop up appears above the system tray. Unfortunately, the error is truncated with an elipsis and disappears upon clicking.
I tried accessing the Sharepoint side of Teams to try moving the file that way. I did get an error of which I could observe the full message:
"We couldn't move the file because it's locked for editing or has been modified or deleted."
The file has not been deleted for sure, and I can access and edit as desired. Please make this work so we can move files from one channel to another for reasons such as a person uploading the file to the wrong channel.

I am having this issue also. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens frequently. At first I thought maybe it had to do with who originally uploaded the document, but that does not seem to be the cause. I also get the error message that runs off into an ellipsis (...) and if I click on it to try and read or open it, it just disappears. Am I to understand that it is possibly a 'wait period'? If you open and edit the document that you must wait 15 minutes before moving or deleting? And Am I also to understand that this 'wait period' only applies if editing the document in Teams? I know I have opened and edited a document using the desktop app and then closed it. When I went to then move this document it did not let me. I think from my testing that the 'wait period' after editing a document may be the issue. Please, any professional help with these errors?

There seems to be some sort of lock on the file when editing in Teams - when I was testing it took approx 15 mins until the file could be moved. The same seems to apply to renaming and deleting the file.
However, this issue only seems to occur when editing a file using Teams. If you use the desktop app it does not happen.

I am having this issue too when trying to move or delete a file in Teams. The error message goes away when I click on it, so I can't see what's wrong; however, one time I was able to see the error message (although I don't remember how unfortunately) and it said that I was editing the document, so it couldn't be deleted--which doesn't make any sense because I had the file closed so I could try to delete it. This issue has happened multiple times to me and has no pattern: sometimes I turn off my computer and turn it back on and it works, but sometimes it doesn't work; I've tried waiting an hour and then it works, but with no change to who is editing the document. This issue is frustrating--any progress on this issue?
I am having the same issue trying to move a file from SharePoint site to my OneDrive for Business folder. Any luck getting an answer somewhere?
