Can’t add guests to Teams unless they’re already in the AAD tenant
I'm having an issue that doesn't seem to match up with the expected admin experience. Essentially, I can't add a guest that is not in the AAD tenant through Teams desktop/web apps. I get the "We didn't find any matches" error.
If the guest is in the AAD (by being in an Office 365 group, at least), then I can add the guest to the Team via the apps.
For AAD, I can add guests and for Office 365 Groups, I have "Let group members outside the organization access group content" enabled. I logged this issue on the tech community forum here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Can-t-add-guest-without-first-being-in-AAD-tenant/m-p/187766.
I have the same problem. Some articles suggested that turning MS Teams guest access off and turning back on resolves it but it hasn't worked for us!
Set-CsTeamsClientConfiguration -AllowGuestUser $false -Identity Global
Set-CsTeamsClientConfiguration -AllowGuestUser $true -Identity Global
We still have problems with this 12th of May 2020. Anyone out there that has a solution? Microsoft doesn't seem to have one.
Sadly this doesn’t work.
We have guest access enabled (AAD and Teams admin centre). It was working, but now it doesn’t anymore.
When adding the contact the message "We didnt find any matches" and after clicking on Add the message *** in the attechment shows up.
This is something that keeps happening. And getting a bit frustration, because Teams in not reliable.
You need to enable guest Access on Office 365 admin center - Teams Admin center. Under Teams admin go to Org-wide settings and Guest access to enable this .
Once enable it normally take 2 hr -24hr to activate the function.
Hope this helps.....
I've microsoft 365 essential then I installed team but I can't add guest user in microsoft team

I agree. Why do they give instructions on how to do this, if it doesn't work. Very frustrating!!
Same here...... *sigh*
I went through all the steps listed in this document, but guest access is still not working. Completely frustrating!

I am having the same problem. This could be a powerful tool for me to market Office 365 but without this working. It's not going to happen.
Ridiculous - I keep trying to work back into the MS world and they keep messing it up by changing things like this. Now I'll re-setup a gotomeeting account and won't come back for teams
This is faaar from production ready!!! QA should never let it trough!
Same issue her. Did any of you find a solution for this?
Why isn't microsoft responding to this? I have the same problem
