Allow user to block specific contacts while being able to stay Online for others.
Some users may need to be available for quick chat contact through Teams to other members of the team, but other users in the organization may take advantage of their online presence to bypass regular communication channels. Specifically, helpdesk support person needs a service ticket submitted before assisting someone, but must be available in Teams for consultation with other IT staff.

Microsoft stated the wanted teams to be onpar with skype for business last year with its features and subsets, I cant believe this was overlooked.
As an escalation point for many Office 365 issues, I have days where I have to turn off my Teams due to too many folks asking questions. Yeah there is mute/hide, but you still look available and then you have the persons manager wondering why you are not responding to their employee.
Also there are HR situations where you need to block a person due to other circumstances.
In my opinion this is a critical function that should be added back in...
Block feature missing? I already miss Skype for Business.

My organization has thousand of employees and too many of them are waiving email communications and switching to Teams. This is bad practice as you cannot search within conversations as you can within email. It completely destroys the audit trail and there is no archive feature and no way to separate conversations by topic. There needs to be an "allow" function for chat and call.

Please add a block feature similar to the block feature that Skype has.

will be ideal if Team developer could create option to put groups for admin to manage team allow or block the groups from sending message to certain groups within the organisation
i think i can block my stupid sister on teams because she is stupid like i said
Hate being forced to use this garbage tool - it's horrible for chat (which is realistically the primary purpose in our organization), and lacking 80% of the good features that SfB had. Of course, M$ being M$ this will never see the light of day, but it is one of many sorely needed functions.
please add this feature!
How does Microsoft miss the ability to block specific users? Please add this feature to help with productivity. It was available previously & is desperately needed again.
please add this function I need it so much

This is a highly needed feature at the Enterprise Level for Agencies and companies that will leverage Microsoft Teams. Without this feature, end users could be bombarded by IMs from folks that they do not want to be contacted by within an agency. This relationship/block feature is currently supported in Lync and Skype and should be carried over to MS Teams. Without this feature it could be a showstopper for some companies and Agencies from adopting and transitioning to MS Teams.

As an Admin I would like to block everyone else than Team-owners in private chats
Please enable the block user feature to avoid allowing unwanted contacts from pinging
This is a very much needed feature in our organization, something along the lines of what Skype had.
How can you not give this parity feature? Why do you need user voice to ask for something that existed in a product you have yourself replaced and claim as better product? Please get this feature out
skype almost had it right (if it worked) maybe by category of status?
List of folks that can reach me as DND, busy and available.
List of folks that can reach me when Busy and available.
List of folks that can reach me when available. (i know this sounds weird, but you never know)
List of folks that are blocked. (block all but this exception list?)
Maybe allow the use of groups (local/global?)

This is necessary.
Yes this would be a very nice fix. We have a need for several accounts that we'd like to block from folks starting a chat with

The ability to block or fully mute individual contacts is absolutely basic to any modern communication platform.
We're also transitioning from Skype to Teams. Extremely necessary to complete our day-to-day tasks and ensure folks are following the appropriate channels/business workflows
