App Bar: allow adding apps to bar like Windows taskbar
Currently, if you add an app to the left hand bar that contains Activity, Chat, Teams, Files and the elipsis/hamburger button, it only appears if you click the elipsis button.
Life would be better if we could have the apps we added appear on the side bar, or let us add them to the bar just as you would the Windows taskbar. This would remove the step of having to click the elipsis each time for a common app.
Agreed with Ryan Turcotte, too. Users should be able to drag default apps (Activity, Chat, etc.) onto the ellipsis to hide them, similar to hiding taskbar icons into the overflow "Hidden icons" menu.

You should also be able to remove and re-arrange apps. I don't see an option high up in user voice for this but it's very simple functionality that Outlook has had for years in the bottom left nav. If I don't want "Assignments" i should be able to remove it and not have it be a waste of space (in an EDU staff have no need for that).

This is exactly what I wanted to add into a wishlist :)

Yes! I would love to be able to have planner and other apps more easily accessible.
yes agreed with other users this is important especially when using the phone app.
Yes please! I completely agree. Surfacing apps to our end users is difficult if they need to go through the extra menu layer to find the app not in the core group of teams/meetings/calls etc.
