Out of office pop up showing up constantly for all users
We at work are in a group chat and when someone is out of office, the little grey bar ontop of the chat box keeps showing up with the info that the person is out of office and may not respond.
You can close it but every time you re-open the chat tab it pops back up.
This happens for all users in chat (about 20 participants).
Can we disable this?
Thank you for your feedback. The team is reveiwing this ask. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Fix it please!

It's not just the out of office notification, it's also a team member's "Status Message". There is an "X" to close it but it always comes back. It is really annoying. See attached image.

What is the status of this issue ? Is it in the roadmap ?
Would be great to be able to opt out from this "all day poping banner". Please.
Almost 6 months since the "reviewing" has begun. Shows you that they really care about the people who use their software/programs, because they know people will keep using it.
Please disable this. This is a terrible "feature."

My co-worker went on vacation. He is enjoying the mountains right now. It is quite peaceful this time of year.....
You don't care about this comment? Now you know how I feel when I see the notification stating that he is Out Of Office.
In addition, please see the attachment. It's a photo of a duck.

PLEASE TURN THIS OFF!!!

This is a super anoying feature that should, if not be removed, at least be able to turn of, and should be turned of by default. One should have to opt into this IF one wants it. Not forced upon you at all time.
We know our coworker is on vacation. You can stop telling us now please.
Please give us the option to disable OOO notifications

I can't believe it's 2021 and we are still having to kick people out of chat to remove the OOO notification in Teams.

Lets go Microsoft. Fix this already. Literally not a single person wants this feature.

Please .... Just make it stop!

Can't wait for Microsoft to get back to us, it's only been 5 months since the last update!

It's 2021 and we are waiting for the solution to this!!!!!! Seriously!!!

Echoing everyone else's comments, this is an annoying and terribly designed feature. Please fix it. There's no excuse for it to be this obtrusive, annoying and persistent. (Who thought it would be a good idea to make the user dismiss this message 50 times every day if even one of their teammates is OOF?)
Please create a simple option to Settings where I can switch this notification off!
This "feature" is beyond irritating. Why wouldn't you just make it happen when someone tries to DM or @ someone instead of literally every time you open the window. As someone who has to work in Teams daily with dozens of people I cannot overstate how much I hate whoever thought this was a good idea.
Please for the love of pete, give us the option to disable the OOO message of others when someone is out of the office. I politely turn mine off when I'm out so others won't see it within teams, but others do not and the constant pop up drives me batty!
Please hurry up because everyone will be on vacation in the next few days and I don't want to close the message every 2 seconds
