I had one of my users ask about this today. In Skype he can simply have his list of groups in the task bar, select one of the users to instantly start chatting with one of his folks (he has a few hundred or so people reporting to him). If you right click Teams today in the task bar, there is a New message option, but if that were to have his list of groups without having to go into Teams, he would find migrating from Skype to Teams much easier.

Please modernize Teams to take advantage of live tiles! I really expect this from a flagship Microsoft messaging client, since you've done it well in Skype UWP.

We are doing inplace upgrade from 1709 to 1809 and also within same TS replacing Office2016 with O365 (S4B -> Teams). I must say that trying to deploy a Teams startmenu icon to users is a major pain to do. Me and my colleague have been working 3 days trying to finda workaround. Please fix or release MS KB how to get Teams icon to StartMenu for all users.

Agreed with the anonymous comment... it doesn't make sense that you can't pin the application to the start menu.
I had to download Teams a few times because even cortana couldn't find it on my computer once I closed the program. I hate having too many things on my taskbar or in my system tray so I turned off those options in the settings menu in Teams but once I closed the app, I couldn't find it anymore, hence the multiple downloads.
Very disconcerting.

The lack of the application showing up in the start menu is just disconcerting. It's like the application just disappeared if you forget to look in system tray. You go to open Teams and can't find it.
You can pin the app to the taskbar which is what I'm doing now.
