Meeting link disappearing
Whenever I update a calendar invite in outlook to a teams meeting, the link is generated but when I send the invite out the link is removed. Mail/Calendar settings are set for HTML. I then have to manually link the meeting url.

The link is also disappearing when an invite is sent from OWA AND it contains an attachment. I have urged my coworkers not to attach files as this will make the link to the meeting disappear.
Fix needed? My god...Yes!

Guys there is simple step to fix this issue, open https://outlook.live.com/calendar/view/month if you are using Hotmail and go in specific date/event and click on "event" and on top right corner you will see arrow to see full detail of event in mail view. Click on that arrow and copy a link from message body. to copy meeting link right click on text "click here to join the meeting" and copy link.
That's all

When scheduling RECURRING meetings, sometimes in a single OCCURRENCE the link in the meeting 'body' disappears. However, if you look at the TOOLBAR at the top of your screen and the MS TEAMS ICON shows 'JOIN TEAMS MEETING' it means the link is there and active, it may just not show in the message body. If it only shows TEAMS MEETING, there is no link attached. We have just issued comms in this respect to our management and they all understand now. It seems to be in the recurrence (occurrence vs series) meetings.

Got the same issue: We're using Zimbra as our mail platform and connect Outlook to it through Active Sync. Asked the Microsoft Support why the link to a Microsoft Teams meeting doesn't show up in Microsoft Outlook... Their answer was: Use Zimbra.
Sooo... I guess they're not interested?

As soon as I click on the RSVP and accept an invitation to a meeting, the email containing the invitation and link disappears from my inbox. have searched all folders, including deleted items, and cannot find them. I am just about to miss an important meeting because I can't find the link and it's after hours so have problems contacting the meeting organiser.

I was scratching my head on this one but somehow user had changed sending new emails in plain text, this is what worked for me.
Change sending an email in plain text to rich text or HTML:
In outlook> file> options> Mail > Compose messages > Compose in HTML

MS Teams links just disappear. This NEVER HAPPENS with Zoom.

Issue is still happening and so far no resolution from Microsoft on a critical issue.

I had the same issue with a user, her meetings keep on dissapearing.

I consider this to be a severe bug. When there are external participants in the invite, the link gets removed from the body text. As a result, the external participant is unable to join the meeting.

Microsoft Teams meeting links keep disappearing in my Google email. Never, never had this problem with Zoom. My son's school is using it and he is missing his classes because the link may be there in the morning, and then it is not there when he needs to use it. Like today: I saw the link and starred the email so he could find it. The starred email is there, but no link. It's a nightmare.

i've expiernce the 'Meeting link disappearing' when forwarding a meeting, send from a external domain, to a meet room.
Any idea to resolve this is appreciated.
i allowed external senders in 'auto approve', but cant find the reason for the stripping of the link. -

Same problem here. Every time a setup a meeting with an external attendee from our company, I finish using another tool because the link is no longer there, only plain text.

This also affects a user in our organisation. When looking to forward a particular appointment, whether than be an occurrence or series, the meeting URL is removed.
Creating a new meeting fixes the issue, however we're unsure as to why the appointment in question is erroneous.
We have internal attendees only in the meeting, and the meeting content is only the Teams URL and dial-in details - no attachments or anything which could corrupt the request. -

I am wondering why Microsoft Cant resolve this issue for last 3 Months.
It reminds me of a Old Bajaj Scooter....extremely difficult to start.
Setting up a meeting in Teams is Frustrating.
I have had to get a dressing down from my boss due to this. Maybe i should just opt for Webex or Zoom.

Two years later and this is still a problem? When I reschedule a meeitng with Teams info attached the meeting link in the body disappears completely. It looks like the at least the scheduler can click on the "Join Teams Meeting" in the top toolbar but that's not where folks are used to looking for the information.
Funny to be commenting on this thread here...I am the originator of a similar thread where folks complain constantly about the change in search bar that Outlook has thrown at us. Nothing we can do about it but I'm happy to listen. :-) -

Seeing this issue as well when Teams meetings are sent to customers outside our organization. The Join Teams Meeting text is there, but the link has been removed.
