Schedule message to send at a later time
Often some member of our team finds themselves with a good idea or an interesting article that they want to post on MS Teams while it is fresh in their mind... at 6:00AM on a Saturday. This tends to wake people up if they keep Teams on their phone and don't have it on silent. It would be very nice to have the option to be considerate to those still in slumber and schedule a Teams message to go out at a later time. Many SMS messaging apps have this feature these days.

Please, Microsoft. Most of my good ideas come at night. I arrived at this page because it's 3am Sat/Sun my and my team's local time and I want to send something to my manager when she'll see it (probably Sunday morning), but I probably won't be up until 2pm to manually send it. Sending via scheduled email send is also not ideal, because I know she has Teams on her phone but I don't want to assume she's checking email on weekends.
Please get this done. It'll be far more useful than the Whiteboard improvements have been.
Yes, because it is inhumane to ping each other outside of work hours, even if we happen to be working. Burnout in remote work is a serious issue, because you're never really "off" when co-workers keep communicating around the clock.
Hi, thank you for the video and that's a great way to work around it, but keeping outlook running to have a scheduled message sent is not ideal and proactive. It should just happen, outlook online or offline, the delay delivery feature exists to take a task off our mind. You guys are building & create such incredible things it would be very helpful to have this work without having outlook running all the time. Many thanks
Workaround: Send a scheduled email to the channel's email address. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_74Rllpc6u4 for steps.

Maybe we can prioritize this?
As more companies embrace Teams and attempt to use it as a replacement for email, the ability to schedule is incredibly important, from "I don't want anyone to know I'm working now" to "I don't want to wake my colleagues with something that isn't important but what's my option" to "let's coordinate a multi-million dollar announcement for business hours in each country."
We know you have a lot going on, and we appreciate all you're doing. This would help a lot. Thanks!
Please add this feature.
This is a necessity. I don't want to send messages to my team during teaching times, late nights and during weekends but it is often the only time I can do some of my jobs! Please add this in ASAP!!

It would be great to have this feature. I don't want to wake my advisor up when he is sleeping!
Please, microsoft-we really need this! I work in a hospital and people are already overworked as is so I don't want to take away from anyone's down time.
The 'if you don't see it and engage with it when it happens 24/7 you lose out' principle is toxic to work/life balance - especially under covid when everything is happening at home and the boundaries are thinner than they've ever been before. Anything Microsoft could do would be appreciated.
This would be great (to delay delivery, as in MS Outlook). I also was thinking about the possibility of sending a message to delay until someone's status has changed to "Available". Another option (this may be a different vote/forum) an optional notification when you find that someone is unavailable/busy/in a meeting to choose "Notify when available?", click it to yes and you will get a notification when that person is available.
need this badly. I keep waking up my team
This would be useful to pre-send announcements (similar to outlook), or send a message so that the other party receives at a decent time in their timezone
Also allows efficiency of working with block scheduling. And please, 3-4 clicks max, not 37 clicks 5 layers deep. I would prefer to send "lightbulb" ideas on the hour, rather than spread across the hour. It would be great if it could be set as a default, e.g. all sends are released on the hour or half hour, except overrides to send immediately. I'd be grateful for a basic, simple delay, though.

I work later in the evenings but would love to be able to send messages to my team members so they'd receive them first thing in the morning. I hate sending them at night as I do not want to disturb them after-hours.
Would be great to have this
I'm so waiting for it! Our team members ale living in different time zones. And I totally agree with Jon arguments for the feature. It would be super useful
Please add it to update
Yes! Desperately need this!
