Upload files into directly into folders in Teams on iOS app
A requested feature in Teams on iOS device is the ability to upload files directly to folders in Teams. At this time, you may upload files in the conversation tab, but it will be uploaded directly in the root of the team. In what I request, you should be able to access the Teams file archive, go to the folder where you want to upload the file and then upload.
The picture shows where I'd love to have an "attach a file"-button.

Yes, this would be a fantastic feature for our university departments. Only one department is requesting it so far, but I could see it being popular once implemented!

Absolutely ridiculous! I wanted to upload 10 photos to a Teams folder and am not able to. Had to attempt to upload them as a "connversation" instead, result being that the app crashed and Iphone is now only showing blackscreen. Wasn't able to get the app to function again so had to delete/re-install. What's the point of being able to access existing files but not upload, or having to download a second app just for uploading files? Defeats the whole purpose of Teams...

Very frustrating. I have 30 photos that I want to update to a MS Teams project folder from my iPhone. Should just be able to navigate to folder in MS Teams and then select an option to "Upload photos", select them and click!!!!

I am literally sitting in a workshop taking photos of collateral needed and was trying to figure out how to upload those photos to our teams General channel in a subfolder. On iOS I shouldn't have to download SharePoint App or OneDrive App to do this when I ALREADY have the Teams app on iOS! It's annoying, uses up storage and it's also terribly confusing for my end users who are like... "so, it's not stored in Teams? It's inSharePoint?" User education is a big part of this but it's also siloing functionality and that's just bad design.

Ridiculous that you cannot upload files directly via iOS MS Teams app. Microsoft please fix this asap. Thanks!

Microsoft Teams iOS Issue. How do you upload files into MS Teams using the iOS App? Are you create files and folders in our team sites using the iOS Microsoft Teams application? In it's purest form, MS Teams is built to be device agnostic so teams can collaborate on any device. It seems silly that you can't at least upload documents into your team sites.

This app seems horrible. I’m not able to upload any files. Does the team have to accept the invite first? Weird

I just tried this and while it was cumbersome it worked and my photo file type was preserved a jpg format.

Pictures are converted to PDF? Really? And that is considered a solution to being able to upload photos to a Team site. We want to transition from Dropbox to OneDrive and Teams, obviously Microsoft is completely clueless if it thinks this is now a workable solution for saving files from an iPad to Office.
I too, just convinced a company that we could consolidate from Dropbox. Looks like I will have to tell the client I am an idiot.

If I'm not mistaken, this can be done easily using the OneDrive iOS apps. In OneDrive for iOS, you go to libraries, where you will see all Team sites (all SharePoint sites). Select the site, go into Documents and then in the channel folder. Then take your pictures using the camera icon at the bottom or the + on the top menu. You pictures will be stored in the channel folder. I undertand it is not directly available in the Teams App but it is very quick and easy from OneDrive app. Note: Pictures will be converted to PDF.

The attach file option (standard paper clip icon) is in the chat window, files uploaded using this method land in your teams files repository

This really should be a feature it kinda defeats the purpose of having the app on my iPad.

Please add this feature as iOS App is great for users on the go a lot, being able to upload files on the iPad is quite critical to their day to day work

Any ETA on when this obvious, easy, simple, self-explanatory fix will be available? I think of a couple of other adjectives, but I'd rather just go get modern software that does Basic(s)!

I just wrote in my proposal for mobility at a client .... "The warehouse will be able to upload the consignment image files to Teams on their mobile device".... then I tried to do this for a screenshot, and WOW!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.
Deleted that capability from the proposal now. Sadly.
