Show more than 4 active people in video calls
Teams is limited to showing 4 video streams at a time, it would be better if we had some control over that. We do a morning standup every morning with 8 remotes, it would be great if we could see them at all times.
Work is in progress to support more than four active people in video calls. We will keep you posted.
This would be very useful. I'm glad to hear you are working on it!
joining the party here - any news on the release date? until Teams has the ability to show larger groups it will not compete with Zoom for me as a meeting or group coaching platform.

Thank you. Hoping to see it being released soon.
Also to be able to see the partcipant while screen sharing.
Finally, right now as there is no ID associated with the person on video and dialing in, the number of participants doubles as Voice call and Video to not merge.

Our Company will be adopting teams due to microsofts decision to discontinue skype for business, and as many others the ability to only see 4 video streams is a no no for us. please do accelerate this upgrade so the change will go out smoother.

Trying to use Teams to replace our use of Webex and Slack for internal meetikngs, but the ability to only see the most recent four speakers is something the team is really not liking. In Webex, we are able to have a nice "Brady Bunch" type window separate from the screen sharing window and it makes team calls with up to 20 people a really nice remote experience. I was really disappointed to find out I could not do this separate screen with all the video in Teams.

Also would like to still see participant video streams when screen sharing is on so that during presentations you can see group reactions!

We are facing the same issue in our organization.
How to be aware when this is rolled out?

Checking on on ETA for this...my company (about 80K global employees) is looking at adopting Teams but during our pilot, this keeps coming up as a negative for team meetings. The purpose was to bring together many virtual teams but only being able to view 4 people at a time won't work for that. There are other platforms that accomplish this but having it in TEAMS would be ideal!
Can't wait. Zoom supports up to 49 participants in gallery view. So many of our meetings are more than four people. We've built a "video meeting culture" in our organization and not being able to see all meeting participants is absolutely killing our Teams adoption. The biggest thing I hear when we have folks try Teams is that they can't see everyone and how that significantly reduces the quality of the meeting. With Zoom adding their phone system I'm getting a lot of pressure to expand the relationship there because I've been telling folks for 12 months that Microsoft has been working on additional video layouts. Help a guy out here - I'm a huge advocate but some of the other features that are getting pushed out ahead of this just leave me scratching my head. You NEED to see everyone in the meeting in order for virtual meetings to be productive in 2019. Our company has had this for over 3 years and no one is willing to go backwards on quality of the virtual meetings even though they like the other features of Teams - if we had the video layouts parity with Zoom, adoption would be a non issue. Folks just can't move past it. Thanks for listening.
Hi Alex, we would appreciate a lot your fast help with this issue. ¿Do you have any date to have this improvement implemented?

My purpose in using Microsoft Team flatform is to arrange Online meetings and video conferencing in our company. 10 accounts were successfully added to join a meeting today but only 4 camera screens were activated. I'd love to have some help to activate all 10 camera screens? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Any update on this? Would love to stay with Teams so all integrated, but this doesn’t work with groups of students.

Is there an ETA on this yet?
We need this, or we could go back to Zoom I suppose.... :(
Any updates? we are looking forward to see this enhancement soon!
Please work faster... Alex ! :-)
Yes, this needs to be a very high priority, as the competitors easily show all participants (Zoom, for example). Has this been slated for an upcoming release yet?
eta on this?

Agree would like to be able to view more than 4 videos or define which videos I want participants to see.
Please work to allow more than 4 people on a call. We have multiple locations with multiple teams and not to have this available is difficult.
