Full integration of external Sharepoint
Before I created my Teamplace I already had a SharePoint.
I integrated my SharePoint in Teams in such a way, that it is available in Teams Desktop App on the top "Files".
But when I open MS Planner Board, open a card and want to add an attachment, I can only choose the in Teams integrated SharePoint. But I would like to use / access my connected (external) SharePoint.
By adding an external SharePoint Site, I want it to behave like the integrated internal SharePoint site (which comes with MS Teams).
We have a fully functional SharePoint Online site with multiple sub sites before Teams came along, we want and require all users to continue to use the existing SharePoint Online sites. Teams comes along and there is no mechanism to integrate with existing SharePoint online sites, we want users to use Teams, however there is a lot of confusion and extra work linking our existing SharePoint sites and subsite groups to new Teams. there is no mechanism to link groups, from teams into SharePoint or vis versa.
I agree, our company prohibits use of the automatically created groups site. Instead requiring use of separately created site. They need to be fully integrate able, and the Files Tab should also be hidden if separate site is used.
