Change the colour of Teams, the default purple is deterring everyone from even trying it, and refusing to move from Slack
Basically anything but purple or variant of it
Personally i like green, but variant of blue will also do
Thank you for your feedback. The feature team is reviewing this ask. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Up voted. This needs to at least be something that can be customized by the user. There is no application with a higher need for branding and personalization than this.
Actual teams typically have colors and images associated with them. Other platforms like Slack and Webex Teams are neutral in their default color schemes, allowing them to blend in with the team "brand". Microsoft is forcing their own branding here.
The visual design of TEAMS is very ugly. Similar problem with windows MAIL. New messages or unread emails don't stand out. It feels very cheap. There needs to be a more prominent difference in new/unread than simply Bold font.
Color blindness is a thing and not being able to adjust any of the colors to something that works with your vision is a problem. The tiny red\green status icons beside someone is nearly identical for me. High Contrast is not a solution as that is just a migraine waiting to happen. I can see color just similar ones blend in. Why is it so hard to allow customization of the interface?
Is there a way to change the colour? From the other feedback I guess not. :(

No harm if they added the color theme feature. People spends much more time on such program. Also MS teams is standalone from the rest of 365 package in regards of theming and colors (Visual Aid)
Actually Slack is way ahead in this customization, as it has "Themes" and you can personalise from a lot of predefined ones, this should also be the case for Teams, i imagine that the app needs to be completly built from the ground up to something like VSCODE to accept plugins, but i think that would be the best move Microsoft!
I'm dyslexic and the colour contrasts are a real problem. I can't read white words or icons on coloured backgrounds. The purple is horrific and the dark versions even worse. Microsoft needs to consider those with disabilities, weather like mine, colour blindness or partial sight if it wants people to use its applications. I configure outlook so why can't I do the same with teams
The color should be the one configured for your organization (if any) in Office 365 settings !
Agree, ugliest color interface from microsoft products :)
Oh, I hate everything about Microsoft teams, lighting is horrible!!
Every one looks red ?!
What’s up with that???
The contrast is a significant eye strain

Allowing for organizations to align the color scheme with their company brand colors will speed adoption.
How many days will it take to introduce customisable themes? You have been rejecting it for other hight priority work. Since 2018 users have been asking for this and you people still won't find it as a priority. Totally disappointed, you need to change your approach and prioritising the works.

What the **** is going on with the horrible purple background???

I don't really care about the colour, but the contrast is the issue. Working in a well lit room I can hardly see calendar availability.
Either colour or contrast options would be useful.

That purple color is so wrong.
Slack has a set of more than 5 different color accents... While Teams is only giving us that boring purple.
Please add support for more themes colors.
User should have a choice for choosing the colors. To avoid glare, I applied Dark Theme. And now, "Dark Theme + Purple band" is making it look so wierd.
I need MS Teams top bar to match my Windows 10 "accent color"...instead of only being default purple... also would like the color of MS Teams pop-up notifications to match my Windows 10 color scheme instead of being purple.
Hi Microsoft Teams team...
Please let us change the from the lavender/ lilac/ purple that you have chosen as the brand color for Teams. Its the color and smell at the new-age massage clinic, with the sounds of waterfalls and gently cooing rainforest birds, while Sven rubs warm oil into my back...
... it's not the color of dynamic team-based synergy, the crackling energy of inter-member collaboration! Maybe your branding team where seeking to lower their stress levels on the day they chose it... but please let us select our own base Teams color... or better customize themes ourselves... A cue from Slack may be good... they do themes and colors right.
A very chilled out Teams user
Yes purple is one of my favorite colors this shade doesn't do it for me need color option to personalize it
