Change the colour of Teams, the default purple is deterring everyone from even trying it, and refusing to move from Slack
Basically anything but purple or variant of it
Personally i like green, but variant of blue will also do

Thank you for your feedback. The feature team is reviewing this ask. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

I don't really care about the colour, but the contrast is the issue. Working in a well lit room I can hardly see calendar availability.
Either colour or contrast options would be useful. -

That purple color is so wrong.
Slack has a set of more than 5 different color accents... While Teams is only giving us that boring purple. Please add support for more themes colors.

User should have a choice for choosing the colors. To avoid glare, I applied Dark Theme. And now, "Dark Theme + Purple band" is making it look so wierd.

I need MS Teams top bar to match my Windows 10 "accent color"...instead of only being default purple... also would like the color of MS Teams pop-up notifications to match my Windows 10 color scheme instead of being purple.

Hi Microsoft Teams team...
Please let us change the from the lavender/ lilac/ purple that you have chosen as the brand color for Teams. Its the color and smell at the new-age massage clinic, with the sounds of waterfalls and gently cooing rainforest birds, while Sven rubs warm oil into my back...... it's not the color of dynamic team-based synergy, the crackling energy of inter-member collaboration! Maybe your branding team where seeking to lower their stress levels on the day they chose it... but please let us select our own base Teams color... or better customize themes ourselves... A cue from Slack may be good... they do themes and colors right.
A very chilled out Teams user

For them to be competitive with slack, they need to be able to have customizable colors. Having preset themes isn't going to cut it

surely, different Teams' meetings in a Calendar should be able to have assigned a colour for that Team or Channel?
Just like most calendars...

The three color schemes are not very good. The default is "shades of hard-to-read, purplish-gray." It is commonplace for programs to use light gray as an indicator of an unavailable or un-enabled option, so to set the default color scheme in a similar way is bothersome. I landed here after trying to find a way to change this. The other two options are also not very good. It is disappointing that MS has the capability to create what otherwise seems to be a great tool, and then does not do better with a critical detail.

I'm glad I found this thread after some research for how to change the themed purple. Please allow the ability to select our choice of 'accent' colour instead of the default purple.

I would really like to just be able to change the color of my meetings to see things better in my calendar on teams. Is that possible?

In the psychology of colors the negativity of purple is:
Negative Associations
As purple lives balanced between red and blue, it can be seen as an unstable, non-traditional color. Notions of royalty and ceremony can be off-putting to more democratic sensibilities, and purple can convey feelings of arrogance and condescension.Purple used professionally can feel a bit unsettled and therefore uncomfortable.
from the website https://www.sensationalcolor.com/meaning-of-purple/
Please microsoft notice the LAST NEGATIVITY about being used PROFESSIONALLY.I too avoid this app because of the color.

I agree. Program seems very effective, but general, minimal customization options would be nice, particularly having different looks for different teams, so there is less of a chance of mis-messaging the wrong group...

Hello, I have to say that I hate the whole layout and appearance of teams... it looks really too childish... could you make it look like a professional tool ? thank you for your efforts...

Add complete flexibility for choosing color pattern. What limits Microsoft? Does it cost for colors?

The Green MS Teams icon above is much more inviting. I also was reluctant to start using MS Teams because of the dated uninviting purple color. Please add a fix to allow your users the choice to customize the theme & colors.

Please give us the ability to update the colors. Dark theme is nice, but we need customization. Slack is winning on this front.
