Change the colour of Teams, the default purple is deterring everyone from even trying it, and refusing to move from Slack
Basically anything but purple or variant of it
Personally i like green, but variant of blue will also do

Thank you for your feedback. The feature team is reviewing this ask. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Yeah pretty sick of the purple. I know it seems petty but if I could change to another preset it would be a welcome break. Like changing desks.

+1 even a set of presets would be nice if customisation is too big an undertaking. The humanistic / UI features between Teams and Slack is presently heavily skewed to Slack, so incremental development in this area would be much appreciated.

This would be a great feature! Especially if we could do it from the Admin side to make it fit our personal branding

Microsoft has not considered usability of Teams by color blind people. For some people the Yellow clock indicating someone is away is difficult to discern from the green clock indicating they are available. Any descent consideration of usability would have different icons to indicate these different status's, not just a different color.

This should be a configuration option to change the header and sidebar colors to whatever an end user wants.

Ideally, the user should be able to set the default color, and the admins of channels should be able to set the channel color, and chats should be able to be colored differently.

@ Alex : No more purple would be great. Maybe themed like MS Office or customizable, either case no more purple would be great

#signed Purple sucks. At least let users customize the accent colors like Slack.

Remember how ICQ was so much nicer on the eyes than MSN Messenger?
Same thing. People are not inspired to use applications that make them depressed. MS fails again.

Slack is so cheerful in comparison. Teams is ugly, grab, depressing. Seriously how hard can it be to code in some more themes?

Please give at least one other option besides purple.

In general, it would be great to be able to personalize more the experience color-wise, probably even have the option to set different colors for different group chats to avoid sending messages to incorrect chats from time to time.

Im not so bothered by the purple color but what I don't like is that in high contrast mode, which is my preference, presence indicators for contacts ARE NOT color coded. this makes it impossible at a quick glance to tell someone's status, At a minimum, please make these color coded like everywhere else.

Just out of curiosity where are you working (also what department) that has people deterred from teams by the color?

Please! This lavender is sickly and I desperately want some choices in between the bright white and dark black backgrounds.

The first thing I wanted to change after installing Teams is its color and I cannot do it (-‸ლ) .

Please allow custom colors

Having the ability to change the individual backgrounds of the Teams chats would be so helpful as an extra visual aid to know which person, group or team you're talking to.
