Call Contact's Work or Cell phone
When I click the call button on a contact, Teams automatically begins a teams/skype call to the user. It should offer options to call the user's phone numbers (work/cell/other) or to make a skype/teams call, similar to the drop down menu offered by skype for business.

Please make this improvement as it slows down all users who dial out to their phones for meetings

See the attached image of the Skype drop down that we should have for Teams.

We have been trialing PSTN calling with a few users for a while, but there is no way we can replace our existing Cisco UC system with Teams for our 2000 users until this feature is made available. Seems like a pretty basic feature to be missing...

a common scenario in skype for business: in a conference meeting, need to add someone from his mobile or work - easily do that, just hovering over the contact and boom you can select which number to call.
NOT POSSIBLE IN TEAMS!@$#$^#$^ CAN"T BELIEVE THIS

now with the COVID-19 pandemic we need to see employee's cell #'s to get in touch with them. This is so unfortunate that we cannot just add additional information that other users can see...

This is BASIC functionality that is MISSING.
Yet again this demonstrates the Teams is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. -

This is such a shortcoming that my company may use Zoom instead.

It is really surprising this doesn't have more votes. Very important feature. Not only being able to call a user's mobile or home number that is in the directory, but also being able to call work numbers of non-Teams calling plan users. If a user is on a legacy or other phone system, sending them a voice call through Teams has no purpose. They don't have the hardware to answer the call.
Need the options of:
Call via Teams
Call Work #
Call Mobile #
Call Home # -

Quote from other feedback page requesting this same feature
"Skype for Business used to support this. You could bring up a contact, and when selecting Call from Contacts, you would be able to select a variety of numbers - extensions, cell phones, office phones. This is imperative for mixed solution environments where not everyone is on Teams.
Currently, this is not possible in Teams, it only dials out to Teams (in our setup) where the other end, while they have Teams, their phone hardware still uses a different solution. Being able to easily dial another number or at least pick what number you wish to dial out to for Field Reps/users not on Teams would be ideal (implement as Skype for Business did).
The current solution is to manually dial for all these internal users." -

This is existing since years in SfB and not implemented in Teams since reported mid 2018. This isn't very serious folks specially when you sell that Teams is going to replace SfB but you can't transpose existing functionality correctly !!!

We have 280 remote locations that have old school PBX's with POTS lines and 200 users in our HQ with Teams with full phone PSTN calling. We are unable to call them from our corporate address book as we did in Skype. This is a big issue for us. The workaround of copy and past of the phone number is not acceptable to our users

Any news MS on this issue ? This is massively impacting the user experience and jeopardizing the usability of Teams as VoIp platform.

Our useres are not happy.
Doesn´t work on chat screen for all useres at our Global Address List

This actually works from chat now. clicking on the phone in the chat screen gives you the choice of calling their cell phone or through teams. This does not work from the calling card screen. They need to bring that functionality to the call center.
