Allow Breakout Sub Conferences in Teams Audio Conferencing
Often both IT and the Business hold large audio conferences for crisis calls. It would be great if Microsoft Audio Conferencing could allow the audio conference host to create break outs within their main audio conference.
West, Avaya, Cisco etc. have this capability and it prevents Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing from growing in the enterprise.
Example:
1. 100 people are on an active audio conference.
2. The meeting host says "Those who need to talk about specific issue ‘A’ please press #1 to be taken to a break out conference".
3. Any audio conference participants in the main call who press #1 on their phone dialers are moved to a sub audio conference with other participants who pressed #1.
4. Same example for anyone pressing #2, #3 and on and on.
BENEFIT:
This would allow multiple topic discussions to take place independently of each other without confusion and talking over each other. People who are talking about issue A or on #1, people who are talking about issue B are on #2.
This is critical for IT shops that need ONE main dial in number for large system outages and availability issues.
An added benefit would be a web portal for the Audio Conference owner to see who is actively on the call AND the corresponding break out conferences. They could then move participants themselves back and forth between the main conference and sub break out conferences at will.

We love Teams, and this would make it even better!

We need this! Quick maneuvering between meetings is crucial to how we operate. Sub-conferences combined with everything else Teams has to offer would be a powerful tool for our department.

We really would like to see this too. We have bought a competing product, because it had that feature (and maybe one other) that SkypeFB/Teams couldn't deliver. We're in education, by the way.
