Fix Teams so it stops automatically scrolling UP in chat
This is obviously a bug and seems to occur in the current build. When you're typing and the text entry field expands (due to number of characters typed, a big copy/paste, or Shift+Enter), the chat window scrolls up between 1-4 pages.

This is the closest thread I've come across that describes a similar problem I am having. (Yes I am having THIS problem as well and hate it) I searched my chat for a word over a week ago and now EVERY time I come back to the chat I searched, it jumps to that message, forcing me to scroll a very long way to the bottom of the chat thread. This is driving me crazy. I have cleared the search, rebooted, nothing helps. It is obviously getting worse and worse because the more I chat with this person, the more I have to scroll down.

This code is intentional, not a bug. This is a new strategy to measure user engagement.

It is happening when I change the scaling in chat window to other than 100% (I usually use 120%).
To reproduce the issue just change scaling to 120%. Then open any other chat window where there are many messages (for several screens by scrolling). And try to scroll up by mouse scrolling button. After first attempt it will scroll the chat back down to the latest message. Then try to scroll up again. And it will scroll back to the latest message again. I'm starting to nervous after that and trying to scroll up and up. Sometime I need to use scrolling several times (mostly 2-3 times). It is very annoying.

Still an issue on current build, 1.3.00.9267 64-bit. My company uses teams A LOT so I have it up on one of my monitors at all times. Super annoying when you're working on one monitor and you see something move in your periphery, thinking someone sent a message. Please fix this.

Also having this issue. What's it take to get the developers to take a look and provide a solution that isn't a workaround?

I have this happening on the regular and the only fix is to send a message to stop it.

How is this not fixed yet?! C'mon Microsoft! With endless resources you cannot seem to get things done in a timely fashion.... I cannot believe this has been happening for this long.

This does not even have anything to do with the size of the chat window. The entire conversation randomly decides to scroll back for no logical reason. Not all conversations do it but it sure is annoying!

Hi guys! Just try to zoom-out and than zoom-in to 100%. That will help to fix it :)

Seriously, how is this still an issue. I thought maybe it was unique to me or my organization, but apparently this has been going on for over a year. That's really quite bad.

This is so terribly annoying. No idea how this didn't get caught in QA.

Same here, 85% and randomly scrolls on its own.

Teams has been great on Mac, this has not.

Can confirm that this seems to happen when in 85% zoom but not 100% zoom. Nice to have a workaround, but 85% zoom better matches my desire for information density...
