Make Versioning available
I need versioning on Teams to make it useful to my team.
My team needs to edit various files and it need to show each version of the same file so if anything shouldnt be changed it can be easily recovered
Versioning is really a requirement bevor I even start thinking about managing my documents in MS Teams! And with versioning I mean commit messages and version comparison as well - like git for code files....
I want to make it easy for other people to see what has changed in a document since they last viewed it. This is mostly for use where one person is the owner of a document but are making changes to it over the period of a project. It should be easy to jump to the next change to quickly catch up on the changes to document since you last viewed it.

We don't want our users to be dropped into the back end Sharepoint site just to able to view previous versions of files etc. It can be confusing for some users.

There is versioning but you need to access it from SharePoint. It would be great to access the version history right from Teams instead of having to click "Open in SharePoint" first
This is particularly relevant to Wikis. Having a Wiki as a central point of collaboration is a wonderful thing but with everyone having editor permissions keeping track of content, and maintaining its integrity, is key.
What happens if one editor deletes valuable contributions inadvertently? How to restore them? How to contribute ideas and then have the group enhance and approve? How then to 'publish'?
Wikis and documents need to support a collaborative workflow of which versioning is a critical underlying capability.
