recover deleted tasks and buckets
Please make it possible to recover deleted tasks and buckets of tasks. Sometimes people do stupid things.
We need that functionnality to increase usage adoption...
1, you should be able to restore deleted tasks. A lot of information can end up being stored in individual tasks and they are pretty easy to delete.
2. Add the option of copying an existing plan when creating a new plan tab. Now you have the option of creating a new plan or using an existing one. It was not clear to me that when using the existing plan that it was simply creating another view on to that plan. I found out after i had deleted 15 important tasks (from what i thought was the copy) and now everyone is P.o'ed at me. (especially because of not being aboe to restore)
It would be useful to be able to copy a plan structure without necessarily copying the tasks. We want all 3 teams to use teams in the same way. with the same buckets and labels and rules for when and who to assign.
Renamed a Bucket. Left a tab open a few days. Worked in other tabs. Found an earlier tab with wrong bucket names. Clicked to edit bucket name. Red bottom banner message about not saving... Page refreshed..,many Planner Cards have been deleted. As in gone/gone. About 8% of tasks. I'd exported the data before to Excel so can evidence this.

otherwise not usable not business critical
Ridiculous. Task copied from DIFFERENT Plan was deleted from BOTH the new Plan to which Task was copied, AND the original Plan from where Task came from. There *must* be an undo or restore or recycle bin in Planner.

I get wanting to strike a balance between complexity of the tool and filling user needs. I think that the ability to see deleted (or "archived") tasks is important.
Additionally, seeing deletion activities in history feed would be nice as well. (Not sure if this is already a feature, but if not it would be valuable to add.)
Would be very useful to undelete tasks and to have a configurable "are you sure" message
Kaizala does this much better, only creator of the job can delete it and it will show as logs also in the relevat chat...And, all the people assigned have to say it is ccompleted for it to complete.
This is the most important missed function!!!

The more I use Teams and Planner every day, the more faults I find. Not being able to recover deleted tasks or not knowing what got deleted is a disaster. I feel like this Planner as of right now is perfect for an ideal world where everyone acts the way they are supposed to and not a single error is made.
But sadly the world we live in, making mistakes is a common place.
So it would be great if someone would fix this asap.
Microsoft? Get a grip please on this please. We have enough to worry about with COVID19? People can make mistakes ? in your links you DO say a deleted planner is only soft deleted and kept for 30 days BUT its NOT there???? With the level of resources you have its simply not acceptable.
someone deleted one of our tasks today, and we are not able to find out who :(

I have followed multiple threads about this, and other feature requests, and I have yet to see anything for any of them implemented.
We are still using Teams in our group, but there is a whole lot of work that can be lost and that is seriously scary given the scope of some of the projects I MIGHT use this for.

This idea is posted in the wrong place - the Planner developers aren't watching the Teams Uservoice forum. Vote for this idea in the Planner forum instead: https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/16060894-add-recycle-for-deleted-tasks-in-plan
Hello.. Deleted a working task accidentally. Is it possible to recover it?
Can Microsoft create a 'DELETED' folder or something ? And at least give a second prompt before deleting it.

Copied a planner from one channel to a new one as it had Buckets and tasks that I needed to migrate.
In the new channel, I deleted the buckets and tasks associated with the old channel, but this deleted them in both places, not just the new channel, which now can not be recovered. Just po'd a lot of people.
Yep, just typed out a long task description, went into edit something and managed to delete it. Pretty much any other Office365 product would allow me to recover at that point, so I presume other developers realise people make silly errors. I thought that was the whole point...

Would like different wording, but I support the actions behind the request.
We need this !! It's just amazing that we Don't have the possibility to recover deleted tasks.
