Disable startup option
Like Skype, it would be great if there was a setup option to not start on Windows Startup. Reason being, when on laptop, do not want lots of applications running that I dont need when on battery power. Saves time and frustration to not have these applications autostart. I can start them when I need them but not before.

We only use Office 365 for the Office suite. We don't use it for Teams, Email, Sharepoint, etc. Everytime I uninstall Teams it reinstalls itself. If I'm stuck with it, than there should be an option to not start upon start up.
I just got off the phone with MS tech who was trying to get feedback on this product - I've stated to him multiple times - unless you provide an option to disable the start up, we are NEVER going to use this product
We will gladly pay a premium for Slack since it does not do this. I'm considering pushing a policy to all machines to block this application from installation due to your misguided approach to force this software on all users.
Best of luck with the class action suit that's pending
Echo what everyone here is saying...give the user the option to start or not start a program.

PLEASE stop pushing this application in people's face by default.

ESPECIALLY for users who have the Teams access turned off!
I have users with teams switched to "off"--and STILL when they sign in to portal they get an install file that includes teams and boots up every startup to a program they shouldn't even be able to use per our specifications.
It is absolutely disgusting how little consistency or intelligence comes from such a profitable company. The only thing they're consistent at is providing options to manage their software that don't even work or become overridden, but still left there useless to give the impression that they still work (windows update service settings). Their agenda of pushing their endless list of bells-and-whistles products is always 50x more important than their paying customers' needs and issues being addressed by anything more than a manual, one-at-a-time workaround that comes off as a measly shrug. Downright sickening.
I don't need this application. Why do I have to put up with the pop-up every time my computer starts. The application developer for Microsoft Teams at Microsoft should be terminated!
ANY PROGRAM should start only if and when needed. Or at minimum give users the option.

This is the most annoying setting. Teams should start only if and when needed.

There is a setting to do this in the app, but you should be able to disable it through the "startup" tab in the task manager. For some reason, it is not listed there, and it should be!
