New Channels Create Seperate Document Libraries
When creating a new channel create a new document library for the channel. Don't use folders!
Also incorporate if the person creating the channel puts spaces in the name, take them out in the URL. no %20

by the logic of only allowing one library per team, you should only have one site per tenant, just doesn't make sense if you want to create relevant views using metadata.

This would allow for better metadata (channel-specific) instead of One Document Library for all. We want to show off the metadata inside Teams AND keep the files in the right places.

I would say make it a configurable default and expose an option to have it be as-is or a new library.

This would be great for content management - supporting standard SharePoint functionality like content types in an intuitive way for end users.

Can't believe that after all this time of how 'bad' folders are in SharePoint that MS would even use them in such a fundamental way and limit a good significant number of the best features of SP from being exposed directly in TEAMS. Seems to me to be a bit of a brain **** so I must be missing some fabulous overriding advantage that all of a sudden, with TEAMS, makes them a good thing.
Subfoldering eventual obscures the content and can effect Search. It makes so much more sense to make a channel create a library. Could institute the ability for individualized security for the channels, which has been a big request. Metadata and views/filters would actually work.
