Planning across tools (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Custom Issues)
Coming from a GitHub + Slack user space, I had a look at Microsoft Teams. My first impression was a kind of chaotic user interface, which was not clear to use for me. However, I searched for the reason, why to use it and had a great idea, which obviously is not implemented.
We have different sources for Issues like GitHub, GitLab, or even other tools. There are some capabilities of GitHub for example to implement a kanban board, but what I expected from Microsoft Teams was the integration of all this sources to any other tool like the Planner.
So I tried to drag and drop issues to the planner, but the planner seemingly just allows custom strings to be entered as issues for a kanban board. Disappointing...
Distinguish between sources of tickets and processing applications of tickets. In a very easy scenario, just allow importing selected tickets from any source to any processing application like the planner. Thus, I can plan work incoming from different places in one source! This would be awsome and make a real use case out of Teams, which I do not see now.
In a further step, it should be even possible to update issues easily, i.e. automatically moving them to a different column on a state change or automatically adding new issues from a source if the resource is assigned or a label is set on the issue in the source.
