High Memory/RAM Usage
Microsoft Teams is currently the most RAM consuming application on my computer
Thank you for your continued feedback. We are continuously improving the clients to use less memory and RAM.
The upgrade to Electron 10 has rolled out fully to the public at this point. Telemetry and testing has shown that this is helping to improve memory performance on the client.
We will continue to work on improvements, and will share more updates as they become available.

After reading the complaints here I am now also using the teams web platform. The app is a joke and uses WAY too much memory for a chat app. I advise other folks to use the web platform as well.. Microsoft is out to lunch on user needs, I only use this because I have to for work.

Please make microsoft teams use less memory.. thinking of switching to another service.
Just deployed Teams to replace Skype for Business for my organisation in 6 countries. Teams eats lot of memory and users wants to go back to Skype again just for that reason. Microsoft have to do something to improve the Product.
And Windows 10

I start my day with Teams holding 86,6 MB of RAM in background. This is ok, I guess.
At lunch the app is holding 298,5 MB in background.
When I end my day, the app holds 325,9 MB in background. For the type of app this is way to much and in this particular day I did't even chat a lot.
Teams is constantly hogging memory and CPU (esp. when Outlook Teams AddIn is running). Please fix this beast of an application.
Teams are consuming too much computer memory unnecessarily.
Skype for Business consumes less memory than teams.
Resolves this annoying problem as 4GB computers suffer when using the Teams application.
Our organisation new to O365. Teams takes up the system resources than any other apps. Appreciate a light and compact version.
It often uses more memory than VS 2019
I would not expect Microsoft to fix it, over the last decade they have been in decline

Consumes RAM nearly 500 MB. Also the CPU utilization is high.

Dude? I get like 2 messages a day! Teams is fighting other software for resources. Can't this be like a 0.1% CPU usage old-fashioned TSR? What does it have to do except listen for pings?
Ronald Sonntag commented
Over 15% CPU usage while running in the background doing NOTHING! Teams is slow, it is bloatware, it doesn't allow deletion of conversation entries, it is difficult to navigate, it drops connections without warning.
I strongly suggest everyone here to switch to Zoom! It just works. Period.
Note: I cannot use Zoom (other than a few months trial a ways back) because of my corporate policies. I own no stock in Zoom. I have no friends in Zoom. Zoom simply is the best, from my personal experience, by far.
We have the same problem. Is Microsoft not able to resolve this issue?

Not only high RAM, but also a high CPU load, causing 25% battery drain in 1 week. And that without using Teams at all last week. I thought Microsoft was making software more energy efficient.

When using the "Call" feature or "Meeting" feature, the app slows to a dramatic halt. Even after clearing cache in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams

10 seconds after start Teams is consuming 496.5 MB of memory without any usage. This is too much. Please fix this.
Fix this issue as it ruins the Teams experience. Have thought of removing teams many times as it slows operation by hogging RAM.
Please fix, Just realized the performance increase when it is closed. Don't want to ever use it again.
I could not even see it hogging resources, but once closed, the slowdown stopped.
Memory still consuming more than 500 mb.
Fix it ASAP please

Teams uses the most memory of any other application on my computer, sitting at close to 500Mb when idle.
