Cisco Jabber= 59.9MB(0.2%CPU)and if i start a Visio meeting, MS Teams goes more than 1Go (21.6%CPU), Jabber only 117MB (1.6%CPU)and WebEx Teams 161,7 MB (4.2%CPU)

System are lagging some times when using Teams presenting another system like Power BI, Sharepoint and it really lags bad. When using without Teams, perfect.First I thought this was related to VPN, by have traced the trafic.

We upgraded to O365 last March but we use the Zoom app for instant messaging because it is a much lighter application. We also mostly use it for meetings too. We use the other Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, Forms, Lists etc. but we don't use Teams purely because of the memory usage. I thought Teams was meant to be the centre of the new Office environment? Even a Lite version just for chats would be great.
We bought new ThinkPad L590 8GB laptops in June and Teams takes up nearly 650MB right out of the gate when starting up, without doing anything on it.

Dear Microsoft, JUST DELETE TEAMS
It's using more than half of my ram meanwhile it doesn't even have feature to delete chat messages. -

I'm seeing upwards of 2gm of ram being used. However i've found when disabling read notifications it drops considerably.

For work reasons, I'm running Teams on Fedora 33 . . . and wish there were other options. The working memory size is currently 1.7gb - no video, no active chats . . . just sitting in the taskbar, waiting for contact. For a chat client, this is simply embarrassing. Please fix the core of the program and quit tacking on additional features.

Teams slows performance of pc, especially when other apps requiring lots of memory are running such as Power BI and Tableau.

The mem consumption of this chat app is X times of Outlook. Make no sense!

A chat app easily takes 1GB+ memory. Unacceptable for me.

It requires too many processes! How about only one or two??

Just got a new laptop with 16 GB memory, upgraded from 8 GB. At about the same time, my company migrated to Teams from Skype. My new laptop is slower than the old one! It is always running at about 75% memory utilization and is always paging data to disk. Teams shows as the top memory consumer in Task Manager. Thus, the PC is very slow. Teams should be LEAN to support a variety of devices. Does Teams have a memory leak?

Teams is killing my daughters laptop and stopping a lot of home learning. Please reduce the memory usage. Many home pcs have limited memory and to be using nearly 2Gb is absurd

Teams is taking the most memory usage on my desktop. I am using architectural programs that require high amounts of memory and graphics and teams is on par or more at times to these programs. Unacceptable.

CPU overutilization, RAM overutilization...is this an attempt by a foreign adversary to destroy us? If so, then it's working!
STOP ADDING *BS* FEATURES AND GET BEYONE TEXTING...FOR VIDEO TO WORK.

Teams is using over 1GB on my 16 GB laptop, unacceptable.
If Microsoft deprecates Skype with Teams then I will be forced to cancel my Skype subscriptions.
I don't understand why, after 4 years, Teams doesn't offer a way for home users/small companies to delete history (I do understand that some corporations may have a policy to prevent deletion).
I followed instructions at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_o365admin-mso_teams-mso_o365b/teams-hogging-memory-running-slowly/3a5ddd1a-e4b0-41be-881d-c0d46b9abe23?page=1 to manually delete files but there was little improvement.

Just switched from a 16GB machine to a 8GB Surface. I live in Teams for work all day but it is becoming unbearable. I spend too much time trying to fight the memory issue.

It took me a while to work out why my 3 month old PC with 8gb of RAM was starting to slowdown, until I looked in task manager and found Teams was hogging all the memory, I have to kill it to get any work done which makes it the opposite of useful for its intended purpose. Although with less notifications I do seem to be getting more work done...
