Change keyboard shortcut
We need functionality to customize keyboard shortcuts to resolve following problem.
Many of keyboard shortcuts are not giving same user experience like other MS apps, and we would like to customize them.
For example, our developer heavily use VSCode, and we are expecting Command + P will open search, and Command + Shift + } will switch to next channel.

I would appreciate being able to fully customize it, but the most important feature would be for me to allow for switching the "Enter" and "Shift-Enter" behavior, meaning Shift-Enter should actually send the message and Enter just insert a line feed.
I would really like it if I could make it so accidentally hitting Ctrl-Shift-C with Teams focused doesn't call my whole team
Adding my voice to this, would be incredibly useful and would massively improve UX for plenty of people
The shortcuts definitely needs to be coustomizable. Because now ms teams take many shortcuts wich i really often use in Visual Studio.
So please make then coustomizalble soon.
Having a json file to change the keyboard shortcuts like in VScode would be nice. Also, commands like ctrl+b to hide the side rail like in VScode. There are many features like that could be imported.
Definitely need to be able to modify these shortcuts. Having to stretch or use two hands to press three keys just to mute my mic is frustrating to say the least
Agreed, particularly for mute. Two modifiers to get mute toggle is ridiculous. I'd like it to be a single F key.

We are another user who finds at times that the keyboard shortcuts interfere with those used by other applications.

Yeah these keyboard shortcuts need to be customizable. They are trash. So you can use all the helpful /commands in the search bar, but to open the search bar on mac is command+E? That's your keyboard shortcut for the most important function in the whole program? Command+E? C'mon now.
Yes please! I want mute to be a single quick key, such as hold spacebar for temporary unmute and a one-hand quick key to toggle on and off.
HP notebooks use the hang-up and call key's for call tools, but not in Teams. it would be great full to use those key's when you work with MT

Using Teams full time now. Ctrl-Shift-Space brings up the teams menu but I really need it for bringing up Intellisense.

The ability to change hotkeys is an important feature for accessibility as well. This will allow users to change their hotkeys to match both personal preference and allow Teams to be used by people of all body types (eg. users with one arm).
Can't use hardspace in Word when conferencing...
Please add this feature!
The most important thing for me is having a global hotkey to mute my audio.
Teams currently has Control+Alt+M, but this is both an awkward shortcut requiring both hands, and it only works when teams is the active window.
I want to bind mute to the extra keys on my mouse so that I can quickly mute/unmute when I have other windows open, such as screen sharing or if doing work in the background whilst in a call.

Yes, please do this. It's great that there is a comprehensive system of shortcut keys, and for the most part, they are well designed, but occasionally they conflict with system-wide shortcuts. I would have thought the ability to change shortcuts would be relatively easy to add.

Our customers really need this feature
Please add the ability to customize keyboard shortcuts. Almost every program allows this feature, especially microsoft programs. The default ones are completely unrelated to existing microsoft products. Also I hate them, ctrl+E for search? Ctrl+F is basically a universal standard.
But that is just a perfect example of why we need to be able to customize them. If someone loves ctrl+E, they can keep it. And the rest of us can go back to using ctrl+F.
Please allow for a way to change the moronic "shift-enter" for newline and enter for send. It should be reversed!!!! or at least make it possible for me to configure it!!!! Don't repeat facebooks messengers idiocy.
