whole organisation onedrive and viewing of teams
I'd like to be able to create a whole organisation Team for a school with about 150 staff. I can do this. However I want to do more with it.
The reason why I'd like to do this is to create a place where documents can be stored. I understand there are ways to do this directly through share point, but I'd like my staff to be using Teams as an entry portal into sharepoint. That way my staff have a consistent program to use that they can become familiar with.
So far this is all doable.
Here is the next part that isn't.
In addition to files that placed in the whole organisation Team.
I'd also like some way to View files and OneNotes that are from the other teams in my organisation.
Among my staff we have recently created various teams eg "Math Team", "English Team", "Science Team" etc.
I am not part of the English Team, so consequently cannot see
or edit their files. However there are many good reasons as to why it might be useful for me to be able to view the files.
A possible solution is that I could be added to the English Team. But this has two problems A) I would have an extra team on my list and B) I would also have editing permissions which the English staff may not want me to have.
The first issue may sound trivial, but in a school, we potentially could have thousands and thousands of teams if we progressed to having a team for each class.
I envisage this being done via a few options. Firstly, at the individual team level, the owner would need to check a box stating that the team can be viewed by:
1) Only Members & Owners
2) Entire Organisation
3) Members of another Specific Team [Choose Team]
The third option would then allow for staff of specific levels to be able to view other teams.
Does that make sense?

I'd be okay with staff seeing a huge list of teams that they are able to observe if there were better categories to group teams into and they automatically grouped into a Viewable only category
