DTMF Tones do not work when in a call
If i use teams to make an external call (using my skype for business phone number) the DTMF tones are not detected. So if i'm on a call that asks me to enter my PIN or some other input, it does not work

The DTMF functionality is needed to enable us to perform our role

Needing to add participants who do not have direct dial and are behind an IVR. We need to send DTMF when adding a particpant to a meeting.

I, too, have the same problem. If i have to make a selection or enter a PIN I'm out of luck and have to call from another device. Strangely enough, I don't have this problem making Teams calls from my iPad or iPhone. Only when making them from my PC based Teams.
Please help as this is an issue.

I don't believe zoom can do this either, I just tried and the person you are calling has to press "1" to join. So this actually might be a security issue, etc... that is stopping Microsoft from adding this feature?

We were almost there on our way with a project for 50+ people to use Teams, but ran up against this limitation. We needed this to bring into the Teams meeting a live language translation service. The service requires us to enter the company pin and then choose the language. All not currently possible without workarounds. For our user base, it needs to be very simple and straight forward. Now I have to evaluate Zoom as they apparently have this feature. Any updates on this from Microsoft?

Any updates on this? This is unacceptable.

Curious why this is something we have to "vote" on to have fixed. Why wouldn't you be able to use the dial pad in a phone call? Its common sense that this feature should be allowed.

Hey Microsoft, What's happening here? are you working on it or not?

This is also a problem with items in Teams. For example, in order to record my voice mail greeting I need to press 2, but it doesn't recognize that I pressed 2.

Had a call from one of our users asking about this. Really surprised to find this isn't supported.

Lets look at legacy phone support. We are not asking for rotary dial, just some tones.

Hi, we use Call2Teams to integrate our PBX in Teams and for us it is working. Teams uses RFC2833 as DTMF method. So check if our system/trunk accepts it. We had to change it. (On our PBX the defaultwas: SIP-Info).

Please, for the love of all things Holy, let the key tones work in all calls.

This is working for 1:1 calls using 365 Business Voice. It does not work while in a 3-way call because Teams detects group calls as meetings and surpresses DTMF tones for meeting calls. This is so the button tones can be used to control the meeting instead. I wish there was a way to allow DTMF tones during meetings.

Yeah this has been a source of frustration for some time. My only workaround has been to put the call off headset and onto laptop mic/speakers and then use a tone generator like this one:
https://onlinetonegenerator.com/dtmf.htmlTeams still seems really unbaked not having basic in call tone generator functionality. There's no good reason from my perspective why it should stop working when we add an external call. Let's get it together Microsoft.
