DTMF Tones do not work when in a call
If i use teams to make an external call (using my skype for business phone number) the DTMF tones are not detected. So if i'm on a call that asks me to enter my PIN or some other input, it does not work

I had a similar issue when I attempted to call a client and my responses to their phone tree were not recognized.

This is a TERRIBLE issue, it needs to be fixed NOW. That's my vote. Fix it.

Yes, there is a second dial-pad you must access. It's quite ridiculous that you just can't use the keyboard. Attached is a clip of where the dial-pad is located. While in the call you have to click on the dial-pad dots at the tope of the call window. This will open the secondary dial-pad on your screen. At this point you can click the numbers or use your keyboard.

SOLVED . I Just spoke with our dedicated Microsoft contractor whose working on a migration to Teams with us, He confirmed that this is the way it is designed. The main dialpad is only for dialing the initial PSTN number. If you need to then enter a PIN or conference ID or whatever, you need to select the dialpad icon at the top right of the call screen (not the 3 dots as marco stated below). This will bring up a new dialpad where you can input your digits. Very counterintuitive to normal dialing and Microsoft should really rework that or make it a major callout in documentation.

marco, no idea what you are even talking about. I've fiddled with the various available ellipses and am not seeing a second dial pad anywhere.

in teams you have access to two keypads. once you make the call go to the call window and at the top you will see a set of dots representing a keypad. USE the second keypad, it works for me and uses tones making PIN numbrs, id codes and meeting access codes possible.
I wish MS had a how to manual for all this stuff so I don't have to struggle trying to figure it out on my own. Hope this helps

Needing to add participants who do not have direct dial and are behind an IVR. We need to send DTMF when adding a particpant to a meeting.

I, too, have the same problem. If i have to make a selection or enter a PIN I'm out of luck and have to call from another device. Strangely enough, I don't have this problem making Teams calls from my iPad or iPhone. Only when making them from my PC based Teams.
Please help as this is an issue.

I don't believe zoom can do this either, I just tried and the person you are calling has to press "1" to join. So this actually might be a security issue, etc... that is stopping Microsoft from adding this feature?

We were almost there on our way with a project for 50+ people to use Teams, but ran up against this limitation. We needed this to bring into the Teams meeting a live language translation service. The service requires us to enter the company pin and then choose the language. All not currently possible without workarounds. For our user base, it needs to be very simple and straight forward. Now I have to evaluate Zoom as they apparently have this feature. Any updates on this from Microsoft?

Any updates on this? This is unacceptable.

Curious why this is something we have to "vote" on to have fixed. Why wouldn't you be able to use the dial pad in a phone call? Its common sense that this feature should be allowed.

Hey Microsoft, What's happening here? are you working on it or not?
