Allow direct file attachment to Planner Tasks in TEAMS
Provide ability to attach a document to a Planner Task from your Desktop (like you can do in a SP task). Today, you have to upload the document into Teams first, then open your Planner Task and then attach by referencing the previously uploaded document.

This feature really needs to be added to TEAMS.

It would be a very useful feature. I hope it will be implemented soon :)

I was also surprised, that this feature is only available direct in planner . It's difficult to explain the user, why it's in the Planner App but not in Teams.

Yes, I'm surprised this feature was not supported. Please add this feature, it helps our workflow and to drive adoption with Teams and Planner. Very funny it doesn't currently exist.
As a work-around, if you open the Plan through Planner's webapp, you can upload a file directly to the task, as documented here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/attach-files-photos-or-links-to-a-task-52c688e1-aeb0-4b49-8d78-42984cd553f7

Makes you wonder if every team writes their own file handling...! Why not make use of a generic file upload UX all over Office 365? Next to the request, make it possible to upload multiple files via multiple select or multiple drag drop

Right now I’m adding file attachments to the Files tab then adding as attachment via Sharepoint option to the task in Planner. This should be the other way around. File attachments I drag and drop into a Planner task should be automatically saved in the Files tab for reference. This is easily my biggest pain point and time suck with Teams.

I would love to see this feature. I find it annoying that I have to navigate to Planner separately for this feature. I downloaded the Teams desktop app thinking it would help, but it seems that the app is just a web wrapper. Please consider this for at least the Desktop version of Planner!
