Set the language for group created within Teams
When a new Team is created, an Office 365 Group is created as well. But there is no way to choose the notifications language for the Office 365 group created.
So, any group created by users in Teams have the "English US" language setted, no matters the user ou tenant default or defined language.
Teams should let the user choose the "Team language", and propagate this to the Office Group underlying - just like happens when creating a group in Outlook.

Agree. If I create Team sites in SharePoint, which allows me to specify a default language, then create the Team from the Team site in 365 Admin then the language is English though out the site. 😊 However, if I create a Team in Teams client, which does not allow me to specify a language for the team, it used the sign-up language for the tenant, which for me is German. I can go an change the language for the Team Site in SharePoint but all the system created assets have German names and language ☹ We should have the choice of language for a Team and it shouldn't matter which route we take to create the Team.
It's really necessary. My sister is studying in the Czech Republic, and they have online lessons on Microsoft teams. She gets confused every time at the lesson, because she doesn't know English and wastes time on clicking anywhere to join the meeting, chande settings etc.
As a French immersion teacher I need some teams in English and some in French. I don't want the kids to be able to take the easy way out and set their preferences to English either in a French language class.

In fact, this is very annoying for our users. Since our HQ is also in Germany, all other users, in JP, USA, SE etc. get SPO Sites created in default language german!!! How weird is that?
We would welcome a feature, that would allow the user to choose the language for all artifacts when creating a team.

Teams is built on SharePoint Online - which has hard-wired several critical settings like "default language". We have been struggling with this since we launched Teams, since our tenant was setup by our head office... in Sweden. I can tell you that our non-Swedish speaking employees - and indeed, all of our many partners that we invite into projects in Teams - not so impressed to receive notification emails in Swedish. Please Microsoft, do not hard-wire language choices. Anywhere.
Its Bcz of Tenant default language is set to a different language. There should be an option to select the language when we create a Team in MS Teams..
Actually what i noticed is that my notifications go in German.
Although every possible setting, from the portal, sharepoint, teams, skype, odb, azure, etc... are set to english. I still get them in german.
Note: the tenant is German since the HQ is there... so I believe this is the issue, would be interesting to have the actual notifications be sent in the user language, or tenant language (not location)
