The OneNote interface is still kludgy. Every time I visit the OneNote tab, it reverts to the first page in the first section of the Notebook, rather than remembering where I left off. Also, every time I switch sections, it defaults to the first page in the section, rather than where I left off.
I hope that OneNote support in Teams can be developed to include these capabilities that the OneNote Desktop application provides. It's a significant difference in efficiency.

YES PLEASE! This is annoying me to no end.

I hated this until I realised I could use it to my advantage - by moving the page I want students to immediately access to the top of the list - it automatically takes students to the page I want them to go to.

Agree! Kludgy. It should be the section navigator view that should be default. But it would also be lovely to be able to define a specific section to start with in a tab. And I constantly get sync problems. Please fix...!
Please enable the option to keep the navigation pane visible by default.
Please, please, please! The beauty of OneNote is that you can see all your sections and pages when you open a notebook! Big up vote for: "Why can't I set the Navigation Options to always be the same every time I go to OneNote? I want to show all, and them to always be un-collapsed Why can't I pin the OneNote app to the left sidebar?"
Clipboarding also does not work well. Format is lost when copied from word and pasted into onenote teams interface. It works on onenote.

Definite up vote.
As a user, when I enter OneNote in teams - I want OneNote to remember that I had my Navigation options set to "Show Sections and Page" rather than opening only the the first page.
Why can't I set the Navigation Options to always be the same every time I go to OneNote? I want to show all, and them to always be un-collapsed Why can't I pin the OneNote app to the left sidebar?
OneNote is slow and the view settings I change reverts back each time I leave the tab.

@Microsoft - any comment on the vision for persistence in the OneNote via Teams UI experience?
