Ability to set personal default in Planner for 'group by' to view tasks
I'd like to be able to have myself and my team set their personal viewing preference of tasks in Planner to "Group by" (e.g. Due Date) and have it default to this view every time you go in.

Add a default selection option for this menu should not be difficult.

Please add this feature!! Or change the default group by to Progress instead of bucket.
Since there are several viewing options for planners it would be great to be able to "lock it" into the preferred viewing options.
in my team we set up different planner that we like to use in different viewing options. However for it to work properly we need to set it to our preferred viewing options every time we click on it.

At least by default it should be 'Group by Progress' since there are 3 statuses; 'Group by Bucket' is very strange for just 1 bucket 'To do'. Having a personal option to choose the default setting would be nice.
Default by progress makes little sense - there are only so few progress stages, change it to due date or make it so you can choose!

Yes, I wonder how the prioritisation of tasks in Microsoft Teams Development Team itself.
Maybe it is not getting managed well because they are using Teams and this feature is missing ;-)

Does user feedback just go into a big Microsoft Recylce Bin somewhere?
These suggestions have been going on for years... I am even using the Teams PROGRAM with Planner and the software can't remember what to sort tasks after. I won't be using it for much longer, doesn't seem like Microsoft is gonna change. A couple of hundred peoples complaining about this when they probably have a million users is not worth wasting time on for them.
I would like Planner to remember a default configuration (Group By, Filter) that I can set. This would eliminate having to reset it every time I open Planner.
As a workaround, I open my Planner in a browser and use the MS Teams app to look for files, chat, etc. This works fairly well, but it's hard to remember to click on Chat in the app instead of in the browser if someone wants to chat with me or I want to check new Activity.
I have created a chrome extention that saves your Group By choice so the next time you go to
it will remember your last "Group By" selection. soon this will be available in Chrome Web Store
currently there is a PUBLISHED test version that set the default group by to "Labels" on Planner load but in a day or 2 a new version will be released "Pending review"

Agree, I need it by Progress each time, its frustrating!
I would like to be able to set a personal default and have the Group By field remember what I selected when I navigate to another area of Teams.

Our company always used "Group by Assigned to", frustrating that we have to change this everytime we sign in. Thanks

Quick fix: make progress the default, as everyone uses it in that way
I agree, I always group by Progress and it is an extra step to reset it. It would be nice to "pin" the preferred group by option.
It's been over 3 years since the initial suggestion to have this implemented for MS Planner and nothing has been done. The only response from MS is to submit a feedback request. SORT IT OUT MS
