Show previews of videos in Microsoft Stream like you do for YouTube & Vimeo
I love the automatic preview I get when I paste a hyperlink to a YouTube or Vimeo video in a conversation tab message. I want the same thing for videos I post to my company's Microsoft Stream.

It works on other products (Facebook, Yammer, Youtube, WhatsApp, Line, etc.) - but not MS.Teams :-(

Yes! Get this done so students can see what the video is about. I might as well just post to YouTube

This would be very helpful!

I guess the lack of this feature is related to the fact that access to the videos can be restricted to certain users within the organization and the preview generator simply does not handle this and uses the default logo and title instead of checking if the video is org-wide accessable. Say you have a video that you yourself have access to but it's restricted to people within the organization. If you were to post this to a team with say external guests that should not have access to the video then they would see the thumbnail, title and descrition as the preview is stored locally in the team and the permissions of the video is not checked for every user in the team.

Pretty insane that this doesn't exist - why create motivation for users to move to other third-party platforms?!

Need text or preview, people don't click on things they don't know what are. And they really shouldn't...

Need this feature badly as it’s impacting adoption for a business initiative solely based on videos

Yes, When you share/post a Stream video in teams, it should list the Title of the video and the image thumbnail. It is ridiculous you currently just get the generic "Microsoft Stream" title and logo with zero reference to the actual video being shared.

This would make content so much more engaging and allow people to tell the difference between videos that are shared!

Agree, the default Streams logo should be replaced with the video thumbnail. Even better would be the possibility to play the video in Teams directly instead of being redirected to the Stream page.

I've noticed for two days the previews are not showing for Youtube videos anymore either

I concur - this would be helpful for posting company videos to posts or announcements in Teams. Its a pity that this works for YouTube and Vimeo, but not for Microsoft's own equivalent...
