Camera sideways...cant be rotated
Camera shows video sideways... Why does it not rotate according to the orientation of the tablet?
As some comments here stated, there is a known issue where your image will rotate 90 degrees with using the non-Chromium version of Edge, typically experienced on a tablet device. We are investigating solutions.
In the meantime, some things you can try:
1) Install and use Teams for Desktop – https://products.office.com/microsoft-teams/download-app
2) Install and use the new Chromium Edge -
3) Lock rotation on your device.
4) Go to Windows Settings – Display – Display orientation – select “landscape” if not already selected. If it is, switch to something else, then revert.
I’m hoping one of these solves the issue for you for now, while we continue to investigate a fix on the Teams side. Feel free to comment with what works for you, or that you’re still having the problem.
Please sort this issue asap. Need rotation option in teams

[WORKAROUND FOR ANDROID TABLET]
Hi guys, I managed to force Microsoft Teams Mobile to be in landscape on Android tablet (mine is Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+). All you need to do is downloading an app that can control device's orientation and force other apps to follow. Here's how:
1. Download app called Rotation Control for free on Play Store ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.crape.rotationcontrol ) (you can use any other app that has similar function, this app works for me).
2. Open Rotation Control app and switch on "Start controlling" and "Start on boot".
3. Rotation Control app adds a zone on status bar with options to force orientation on your choice --> Turn on "Landscape mode" and "Guard mode". (Guard mode is forced orientation to other apps) / OR Turn on "Landscape Sensor mode" as this already includes "Guard mode".
4. Get back to Teams and check your camera again.
Is rotating the camera a future function that is on the ms teams product roadmap. Are there any plans or workarounds? Pretty basic but important function for a video conferencing app that all Other video conferencing apps have
The problem is not linked to the browser. Installing Teams for Desktop won't fix the issue.
I use Teams for Desktop on my PC and camera is locked in 90 degrees, all other apps have no issues (Discord/Zoom...)
The issue is because I have a second monitor setup in portrait mode. If I remove that monitor or set it up in landscape, it works.
Just add the possibility to change the camera orientation, this is a trivial fix.
I have a laptop . My teacher's camera show potrait mode it show as potrait so no letters are visible .please resolve my problem

FYI - in 2021, April this is still an issue - Zoom and webex have controls to flip webcam 90 / 180 Teams apparently does not.. ??
I had the problem, because I have a multiple display setup and the main display has the "Landscape (flipped)" orientation. The TEAMS-App sets the same orientation of the main display for of the webcam as the default one. By choosing an alternative main display with a normal "Landscape" orientation solved my problem. Nevertheless the poor implementation of the App is a shame.
I've experienced this for months. Use the app and my picture is upside down. Zoom worked, but my contact prefers Teams.
We have a few users experiencing this fault in Teams, yet Zoom works perfectly on the same device, please fix this major bug.
Unbelievable, how can Teams not support such basic functionality? The ability to change the orientation of the camera is surely a fundamental control for a video conferencing solution. My wife is a teacher and needs to have a camera pointing down at paper that she writes on to show students how to write letters and words, so not only does the camera need to be able to rotate, it also needs to show a mirror image, and Zoom can manage this quit easily. How can Zoom, with a market cap. Of 114.06B be beating Microsoft, with a market cap. Of 1.74T so badly, it’s not like you haven’t got the resources to invest. Why don’t you just buy them and ruin another great product, Skype, Winternals, Visio. Come on Microsoft, give your customers what they want.
It's so bloody embarassing that the biggest manufacturer of operating systems in the world can't get a simple issue sorted out. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and start firing dimwit programmers from your team.
Almost a year ago and still an issue. Hate that our work switched from Zoom to Teams - it's a soul-sucking experience. :/
I am upside down on my laptop and have sound but mic is not pickingme up, so con not be heard at other side..
I have uninstalled and reintalled everyhting 5 times.
Have also followed your comments here. My display is alsreay on landscape.
Zoom works perfectly!!
Don't know what is going on with the sound.
I didnt fixed the problem. the view is on flipflop
type settings in windows search bar ,
go to settings then
make sure orientation is on LANDSCAPE
on my laptop it shows landscape, but i had to change it to portrait, then change it back to landscape and it worked.
Does not work for my setup.
Please fix the basics like rotation and respecting non-exclusive microphone access rather than adding more and more features.

how to rotate the camera on microsoft team
Please make camera rotation in steps of 90 degrees like Zoom. The "Help guide" doesn't solve my problem.
did not help at all
Using Teams for Desktop. I need to rotate camera image 180 degrees. One of your many competitors Zoom provides option to rotate camera image at 90 degree steps. It works very well. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005859366-Manually-Rotate-Camera
Please contact Zoom and find out how they have added camera rotate feature and then add to Teams for Desktop. Thank you.
