Multi-tab experience, or remove "Are you still there?" in the web browser
I want a multi-tab Teams experience. In the desktop app, going between editing a doc, and back to an IM chat, and finding a Team channel, then back to editing the doc.. it's too crazy!
So I use a web browser, and I can keep open (and bookmark) all the important stuff I access regularly.
The problem is when I'm not on a tab for even 1 minute, it wants to reload after confirming "Are you still there?"
I would like to see the timeout increased on that, or multi-tab chatting inside the desktop app.
Thank you for your feedback. The team is looking into this feature and considering options on how to improve the overall Teams multi-tab experience, including on Web. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Please fix this. I usually like to open multiple folders to compare files across programs. There's no need to continually sync as these don't change that often.
The user should be able to refresh when they go to interact with the page. They should not be penalized for just wanting to view files in several folders.

PLEASE!!! but keep in mind to not let the webapp eat too much resources
I cannot work in microsoft teams with this "Are you still there?" message. It resets the spot I am at on PDFs. It's ridiculous that Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet
sometimes im in a meeting and i open a third teams tab to look at some other stuff and when i come back to the meeting the popup is there and i have to reload which forces me out of the meeting
WHEN WILL THIS FEATURE BE REMOVED ITS IRRITATING WHEN WORKING IN MUTIPLE TABS!!!!!
THE ******* ****, MICROSOFT!
This is rendering daily work unbearable. Remove this ****.
Can we understand how is this not fixed by now?
Having multiple tabs is one of the most basic functions while using Google office.
Not even 1 minute, I clicked "I'm back" then accidentaly switched to another tab when trying to delete it. When I came back to the tab (maybe 3 seconds later), the popup was back.
it's annoying ... Yes, both above mentioned improvements would be appretiated !
The stupidity of feature is laughable. Actively trying to decrease efficiency of its users. Terrific!
This is making it almost impossible to run my lessons efficiently. Is there a simple fix ?
absolutely dreadful. how on earth did this pass User Acceptance Testing?!
For me it seems like it only happens when i have multiple tabs and am in a call, but it happens on other tabs when I'm watching the call.
i agree, its terrible and so frustrating because it takes you out of call after a minute when you go into another tab to do some work
Just remove it with inspect element, I did it and it let me access everything normally again.

This ******* thing pops up in a matter of minutes LIKE 2 MINS Its so annoying it reloads the whole page when you say "I'm back". God its so ******* stupid
Yes I was doing an online lesson with school pupils, had changed the settings in General so that they could not use the chat in feature until I had finished going through a ppt. A video I had watched suggested that I could keep another tab open then use it to jump back to General and change it to 'anyone can post messages' to open the chat up for questions. Unfortunately the I'm back popup detailed this and kicked me out my own lesson. So this led to two problems 1. I can't change settings of a meeting halfway through a meeting and 2. It left the Teams meeting open without the presenter.
use mulitple monitors or drag tabs out to desktop in small windows is the only solution i found
