Multi-tab experience, or remove "Are you still there?" in the web browser
I want a multi-tab Teams experience. In the desktop app, going between editing a doc, and back to an IM chat, and finding a Team channel, then back to editing the doc.. it's too crazy!
So I use a web browser, and I can keep open (and bookmark) all the important stuff I access regularly.
The problem is when I'm not on a tab for even 1 minute, it wants to reload after confirming "Are you still there?"
I would like to see the timeout increased on that, or multi-tab chatting inside the desktop app.
It's been a couple of decades since I've had to use Microsoft stuff. I'm on Mac and have been blessed to use Google docs, etc. but am forced to use Teams for a client. This is an incredibly bad UX. Microsoft still performing the same after all these years. I expected better by now. :(

Just found out I'm not the only one finding this unbelievable. Like going back to using DOS. Microsoft needs to change this

This is so annoying, and makes using Teams in the Browser SO much more difficult - I have to wait several seconds when switching between documents and a chat, making me want to find another tool. Go back to the way it was!!

Super annoying when working with multiple tabs. Completely broken when trying to work with tabs while in a meeting (you get a pop-up on the meeting tab and then disconnected).
This "Feature" is just a bug! Please remove this!
******* hate this feature!
i wish they would just completely remove this feature. what is the use of this feature? to disconnect you from calls, and make you lose all your work progress? hmm yeah makes sense to me.
Still can't fix this... But we got an update for emojis in meetings now. I guess productivity is pretty low on the priority list on this productivity tool...

Absolute insanity that this issue has been complained about since 2018 and absolutely nothing has been done. Do better.
please disable this useless feature...the only purpose it serves is to disconnect me from meetings
alternatively, maybe consider fixing the bug associated with the "I'm back" button, since when i click it, i am not restored to the meeting as expected, but i am kicked out of the meeting and need to re-login

It's really annoying when I'm in a Teams meeting on Edge tab, and I open another tab to take a quick peek at a document on Teams. When I go back to the meeting, and the "Are you still there?" dialog box is open, i am only given the choice to confirm. Then, my browser refreshes, I get kicked out of the meeting, and have to rejoin. This is totally unacceptable, as I never really left the meeting -- I could even hear the audio the whole time I was on the other tab!

Please fix this. I usually like to open multiple folders to compare files across programs. There's no need to continually sync as these don't change that often.
The user should be able to refresh when they go to interact with the page. They should not be penalized for just wanting to view files in several folders.

PLEASE!!! but keep in mind to not let the webapp eat too much resources
I cannot work in microsoft teams with this "Are you still there?" message. It resets the spot I am at on PDFs. It's ridiculous that Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet
sometimes im in a meeting and i open a third teams tab to look at some other stuff and when i come back to the meeting the popup is there and i have to reload which forces me out of the meeting
WHEN WILL THIS FEATURE BE REMOVED ITS IRRITATING WHEN WORKING IN MUTIPLE TABS!!!!!
THE ******* ****, MICROSOFT!
This is rendering daily work unbearable. Remove this ****.
Can we understand how is this not fixed by now?
Having multiple tabs is one of the most basic functions while using Google office.
Not even 1 minute, I clicked "I'm back" then accidentaly switched to another tab when trying to delete it. When I came back to the tab (maybe 3 seconds later), the popup was back.
