Consolidate Email Conversations
Replies to email conversations that have the channel CC'ed and have the same subject should get added to the channel as a reply to the original email. Currently, every email that the channel is copied on gets a new chat thread every time a new e-mail is sent.
Emails that are part of the same conversation should get consolidated into one thread just like replies in the chat channel do.

This. We tried to use a Teams channel to augment email as how my department replies to off-hours pages raised by our monitoring software (which sends an alert to various email addresses when a system goes critical). But we can't move away from email entirely, because not everyone who may need to see a response is a member of our team or should have access to our PagerDuty history.
Having every reply to an email start its own thread in-channel, however, makes our experimental PagerDuty channel less easy to search/browse/read than our inboxes, which defeats the purpose.
This would raise up Teams functionality in the completely next level! This kind of function is already part of eg. Basecamp: Basecamp sends email notification when someone posts in channel. In every email there's notion: "Reply above this line". So, you can make your reply within Outlook: there's no immediate need to change window or open browser.
Nevertheless all messages are added in same discussion. This is very handy when you have people with different kinds of preferences regarding how to use email and teams. I'd prefer to use only teams, but one just cant force everybody else to use same working methods.
right now you end up with a ton of "chatter" if the channel e-mail is on an active thread. We'd like all of that communication to be in the channel, but teams should be able to figure out how to process the incoming e-mail and thread it all together, including if people make comments in Teams about the discussion occurring in the e-mail thread. This way a Team can have a private discussion around an on-going e-mail communication with someone not in the team and the two conversations are linked as the same topic/thread.
