Share live location
I really like the location feature in 2016 Business Skype. It know when I move between my two facilities at work and it also remembers my home location. This should be a feature in Microsoft Teams.

Great feature for modern enterprises - which building I'm working in.. important to display location even when status is "Away". slash command to change would be cool too.

I Vote for "Share live locations"
I miss the function "set my locations", it is a very good function when you are working in Activity based offices,

My team members work in different offices, from home, and at numerous sites with our end users. Being able to set up a location to automatically display and update when you change locations was a great feature in 2016 Skype for Business. As soon as the expectation becomes that each person must remember to do something when something else happens, it will fail (remember to update your location when you change your work location).

With multiple office locations, multiple remote individuals, and a high-travel-propensity team, this is a MUST: we simply need to be able to broadcast which office we are in, JUST LIKE we could in SfB. Thanks.

same here, we really would like to see this feature in Teams!

Why was this not included if Teams was supposed to be the "replacement" for SfB?? Does Microsoft not know the features of its own software?? Please add this before I decide to throw in the towel and move our company to something else like Slack and other non-Microsoft alternatives.

Yes, I completely agree with Dale. Our organization is transitioning to an open/shared office space. The location feature allows my colleagues to know where they can locate me...in the café, in a conference room, off site, etc. As a mobile workforce, this feature is absolutely essential. Please, please, please add it to Teams.
Thanks,

As others have mentioned, this is a key feature that is holding us back from migrating all users from SfB to Teams. Being able to communicate to all users where you are physically located makes everyone more efficient. Example - can I get up and walk to someone's office to have a face to face conversation, or are they at a different office/home today?

Tim Jacks & Scott Regnier’s comments below are spot on. We were recently forced to migrate to MS Teams from Skype for Business and immediately were at a disadvantage. Please mirror the location functionality we had in Skype.

We use the Skype location feature as part of our company remote working policy, so that we know when a colleague is working at home. As users only have to set the location once in Skype, for each location, this feature greatly helps reduce the burden on employees to remember to set the location every time they work from home, and so everyone adheres to the policy with very few exceptions. Teams is fantastic, but the loss of this feature will be a step backwards for us in how we work together.

This is important information that helps our users know where we are, in office or working from home. They avoid stopping over to our office to ask for help if they see we're someplace esle. Having it automatically show base on our IP address worked nicely. This definitely needs to be added.
