Increase Teams Planner Checklist character limit
Character limit is 100 for Teams Planner Checklist items. I propose that be increased to at least 255, if not more.
Ping. This is really a frustrating and unnecessary way of limiting productivity.
I’m was hoping to use Planner and switch away from Asana. The character limit on checklist items and the limit of 20 checklist items per task makes Planner not usable. It also makes me worried about what other arbitrary ways this app has been hobbled. It’s sad because an app like this that worked well and was full integrated into Office could be so great. I feel like Planner is so limited and frustrating that it would be better if the app didn’t exist. The as it is today feel like it’s more of an insult than a useful tool

Is there any update on this? Checklists are nearly useless without it.
Please make it 500 at least, if not more. 1000 would be great.
It already has ellipsis. Increasing the limit wont affect the design.
Showing two or three lines without ellipsis would make it even better.

I agree, useless if you cannot add more characters
Please go ahead and increase it to 32k characters instead. Check the limit on Trello, Todoist, other popular apps and duplicate that please

yes please add this - pretty big gap indeed

Yes! Please get Planner up to speed with Trello! The following Trello features would be nice to have in Planner: multiple checklists; no limit to number of items in checklist, no character limit in checklist item; adding a hyperlink to text

Absolutely agree with this. Particularly problematic for French locutors, as French uses longer words/sentences. I was looking for a way to increase the character limit in the task description field from the first time I used it.
YES!!!! This limit is frustrating AND the text does not wrap. Using arrow bars to read the remaining text is annoying.
Please wrap the text (i.e., expand the depth of the line) on the checklist, so entire text can be read at once without arrow adjustments. Thank you!
i second that. i have checklist that requires more and i've been using trello and that solution is great.
