Please extend the Teams Mobile App to work with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
I'm often on the road and my company relies heavily on online meetings :-) So, we are starting to leverage Teams meetings more and more, so when I'm in my car I need an easy way to join meetings and maybe also read messages. While this is way easier now, than it was in SfB Mobile (thanks!) it would be awesome to have an Android Auto / Apple CarPlay Extension to have a somewhat easier and "nearly hands-free" user experience. This would make me much more productive, even if I'm traveling :-)
The feature team has this on their backlog officially now. We don’t have any timing to share at this point, but we will keep you posted.

Still no progress. This is hardly required.

A feature that is needed urgently.

Is there any update on this? The last comment on this being in the backlog was back in April 2019. Is there a way we can get this into sprint planning? I have a two hour commute into the office and joining meetings isn’t easy with the current set up.

It is really important to fix this issue. Carplay keeps crashing snd reboots car’s unit. It’s an endless crash loop. My car is a Nissan Qashqai 2019, with Nissan infotainment system

Please bump this up on the bug fix list! I use Teams for all of my company calls/meetings and rebooting my vehicles entire Infotainment system every time I have my phone plugged into the car and receive a work call is just crazy. I don't know what you changed in the late 2020 update, but please get it fixed.
The current version of Teams for iOS makes CarPlay crash.
Are there any news on this topic? As our team members are on the road often, handsfree joining a teams meeting via voice (in my case Siri) shortcut still requires the user to tap the "join" button. That's very outdated.

@Alex please make some efforts to make it happened. No single updates on 2y???

Our Service Engineers on Android phones are unable to answer their calls through Teams.
We are now forced to call their mobile phone number, which means others can't see their status while they're in a call, and will call straight through the phone call on the carkit.
Received multiple complaints about this.
Apple CarPlay has support now.
Still no estimation on google Android Auto?
Any update on this high potential new feature?
You would think this would be a priority for the MS Team. No update since 2019? Really?
Any news on this?
Yeah, have managers complaining they miss calls as they have to stop the car to answer, by then the caller has hung up. Please make this work ASAP. Our staff with iphones, no issues.

I have AA and have recently started seeing new notifications coming through when being messaged through Teams the same as Whatsapp would, I can respond to these messages but I haven't figured out if you can start a new conversation through Teams or start a voice call. I can only respond to messages coming through. Voice calls can be answered but only by the button on the phone (dangerous whilst driving). These shouldn't be hard issues to fix. the fact it's been in the works since 2019 is a bit sad.
thank you very much for keeping us up to date.
Please get back to us if you have any further updates.
I got a message from a general teams manager this is his update
circlign back on this, TAP for both CarPlay and Android Auto will start in Feb, hopefully GA around end of this quarter. However both will be limited in scenarios based on the capabilities of the platforms. so for example on CarPlay initial support will be limited to calling (ie. "Siri, call 'NAME' on Teams"), not meetings or calendaring
I have send some messages on linkedin to several MS managers about this issue, no respons.
I also found (Alex)andra Olsen the admin on linkedin , but i don't have a premium account to message her.. maybe someone else can? here info stated on linkedin says
''Super passionate about customers, and ensuring a super high quality, productive & enjoyable experience with our products, services, and content.''
not for android auto and Apple users i think ;)
I have the same issue, The teams app crashes and reboots the Carplay system in my car which affects both my call and the maps on carplay.
I have new car with wireless android auto so I'm unable to connect audio by bluetooth and that's the reason why I can't call on teams! This is realy critical issue, so I need teams android auto support as soon as possible.

This was happening on my iPhone 7. I just upgraded to iPhone Xr with iOS 14.3 and it still happens. You've had this on the backlog since 2019. It's pretty pathetic that it hasn't been fixed yet.
